  • Tennis Team Weekend

"Our ALTA team stayed for a tennis getaway weekend this fall. The house worked out perfectly for us (6 women). We loved the lake view and sitting on the deck. The house is cozy and It was convenient to the tennis courts and the Black Bear Pub where we ate lunch. The beautiful fall leaves made it even better!"

  • Tough to beat!

"I conducted a business off-site meeting with a group of 6 people. To make it short: we could not have chosen a better place. First of all, the host: Kelly is one of the most responsive and professional persons I know. Communication regarding some of the details before or during our stay was like a walk in park. You ask a question, you get the answer shortly after. Secondly, the house: Very luxurious, plenty of rooms, bathrooms and space in general - including one of the best views in Big Canoe. There are two large decks, one including a screened in corner. The kitchen is very well equipped, not short of anything. The “open” kitchen concepts insures great socializing while preparing food or making the dishes. The internet connection was very good as well. Overall we were very pleased. Thank You."

  • Well appointed home in the Big Canoe community

"This beautiful home is tucked away in a nice neighborhood and is well appointed regarding decor, kitchen supplies, linens and a very handy washer and dryer. The driveway can be a challenge for some vehicles but my F150 made it after several tries using lower gears. It's not for the timid and requires going down to the end of the street, turning around, and charging up the steep drive. The home is lovely. Unfortunately, the area was experiencing a drought in August and the waterfall was not active. There was a nice trail close to the home through a deep canopy of trees running alongside several brooks/creeks. There are a few restaurants and an IGA grocery store down the road from the main entrance to Big Canoe. We also dined at the clubhouse and enjoyed a wonderful meal and golf course view. Beautiful."

  • Very Accommodating

"We decided at the last minute to take a trip, and we were a little nervous to book so late. We had been to Big Canoe several times before; however, we had never booked through VRBO. Tom (Owner) responded very quickly and was extremely detailed with the entire transaction. His communication and guidance through the process helped to eliminate our stress. Very nice property, and very close to fitness center/beach/hiking trails (walking distance). Property has a nice hot tub which is an added bonus over any property we have stayed at Big Canoe. Property sleeps 10, but a nice feature is that 8 of the 10 are in actual beds in bedrooms. The other two are a more than adequate trundle bed in the loft space play room. We have stayed in properties before where several of the sleeping areas are on fold-out couches. The kids do not mind sleeping out in the living room; however, it can be a little awkward for adults sometimes. This property has very nice bedroom spaces. All in all, this was a wonderful trip to Big Canoe. Thank you again Tom, and we hope to return to your property in the future!"
