  • Exceeded all expectations!

"Our family decided to spend Thanksgiving in the north GA mountains and I am so glad we did! We had folks traveling from out of state, flying in and out of ATL, and others driving from within the state. The Blue Horizon Lodge was very accessible for all. Before we settled on this particular property, I messaged Neysa Lee, who is one of the owners, to ask about some particulars. Right from the start, she was quick to respond, very friendly and helpful. I quickly became comfortable with the choice to rent her property. The deposits, rental agreement and instructions were very clear and Neysa is very organized. The property itself is nothing short of spectacular. The views from the prowfront windows and the decks were absolutely beautiful and the architecture highlights the scenery beautifully. There is a lovely sitting area outside of the front door with a little brook and a very comfortable fire pit area not far from there in the side yard. A bocce court was under construction. The great room on the main level is very comfortable and spills efficiently into the kitchen and dining areas and out on to the huge wrap around deck. The views are spectacular and the furnishings cozy and comfortable. There are three exceptionally well appointed master suites with luxury amenities and beautiful views. The owners clearly have a gift for hospitality, as we were surprised by many personal touches throughout the property. The lower floor had a great area for our high school and college aged members of the group, who enjoyed the accomodations, including their own private area for playing video games in the media chairs. Of course for Thanksgiving dinner, I saved the best for last: my sister-in-law is a very accomplished cook, so the kitchen is very important to her. The lodge kitchen is very well planned, has plenty of space for "helpers" to work and sported double ovens, a warming drawer, a gas cooktop, and much more. The ultimate compliment came from the cook - she wanted to bring the kitchen home with her! As for the rest of us, we all enjoyed the beautiful dining table with its panoramic windows and views: a gorgeous place to enjoy a great meal and reflect on much for which to be thankful. I cannot say enough about the location, accomodations, views, and hospitality associated with the Lodge. If schedules would permit, all involved would love to make this an annual trip. We are already scheming about when we can return!"

  • Nice, clean and beautiful views!

"This cabin is perfect for two coupes. Two nice sized bedrooms with attached baths. The master is awesome! Very roomy. Great wrap-around deck with a ceiling fan and fireplace. Not too far from Blue Ridge or river activities. Very pleased with our stay."

  • Doesn't get any better than this

"For such a reasonable price, it really does not get any better than this. Rent the boat too and you'll literally have everything you could think of to have a fantastic time: swimming, fishing and boating on the lake, fantastic views, all the modern accommodations. The owners are very responsive and they do everything in their power to ensure your needs are met. Will stay here again if we can."

  • Wonderful Getaway With Family

"We would highly recommend this clean, well-maintained property in the gated Coosawatee River Resort. The house was spacious and included modern conveniences, such as WiFi (with excellent signal and bandwidth) and many television channels plus DVD. The porch and deck run all around the house and includes a covered back deck with fans/lights, two picnic tables and a gas grill. The upstairs bedroom also includes its own covered private deck opening to a wonderful mountain view. My family of four saw several deer and a turkey from the deck in the mornings and evenings. We also enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen and playing family games at the large dining room table. Our children enjoyed the outdoor pool nearby and also swam in the indoor pool and played basketball at the resort's rec center. My son, who runs cross country for his school, was able to get his daily training runs on a trail at a public park nearby. We also enjoyed several nearby apple houses, which were stocked with fresh peaches, vegetables, and many sweet baked goods. The only negative aspect of the trip was when it was time to go - I could have easily stayed another week in this relaxing hide-away in the north Georgia mountains. We will be recommending this to family and friends and look forward to returning. The owner provided great communication and had wonderful directions regarding the property."
