  • Great find!

"Others have detailed all the great things about this cabin, so I'll focus on some other things you should know. 1. Getting into the gated community can be a pain, so definitely follow directions, and have ALL required info - property Lot #, address, owner name, booking party''s name - with you EVERY time you enter the community. Sometimes they'll just ask for your name, sometimes they'll want some or all of the other information, it really is a crapshoot. 2. There is no decent place at river's edge to get out of the river when tubing...but a lot or two upstream there is...just be respectful and you'll be ok. 3. If you ARE tubing, do yourselves a favor and do the upper run (which ends at the suspension bridge) vs the lower (which ends at the cabin)...the upper is MUCH better, fun, easier, etc. On the lower, you will often have to stand up and shuffle your way through shallows over slippery rocks, and this can be a problem for smaller children or older family members. 4. Not sure if it was a one time thing or not, but we were invaded by ants in the kitchen area the first night we were there. We're not sloppy people, but an unopened box of donuts was all it took for them to decide to set up camp on the kitchen counters, and nothing we did drove them completely away for the remainder of our stay. Not a HUGE deal, just a word of warning - don't leave ANY food that's not sealed tightly (can, bottle, something with a lid) out or it will draw the little black fiends. Other than those minor quibbles, our family had an outstanding time - tubing, campfires, hot tub, etc - really can't go wrong. And you WILL see deer, they're practically swarming the place. Enjoy!"

  • We really enjoyed our vacation time in this property

"Beautiful and huge house. Everything worked as expected and promised. Julee was an excellent hostess, helpful at any time and answered all our questions. I really recommend this property to anyone who really care about having a peaceful place to share with family, friends, and pets."

  • Perfect for our first extended family Vacation

"This was perfect for my family! The cabin is beautiful and more spacious than my family expected. The littles were extatic to find the bunk room. The Ezra spaces, dining rooms and balcony allowed hide away spots for the teens. The cooks were amazed to find such a well designed and equipped kitchen. IAnd oh the fun things in the area! Everyone is ready to come back next year!"

  • Beautiful and peaceful location

"This was our 2nd trip to Sleepy Hollow Cabin. We love the seclusion and peacefulness of this cabin. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking a meal for the whole family. The porches are inviting, as is the hot tub on the screened porch and the beds are perfect. The owners are welcoming and easy to work with. We're on our way home now and can't wait until we can come back again."
