  • Amazing Stay at Bearfoot Summit!!!!

"Wow! Awesome cabin and experience -- exceeded even my super high expectations. Let's start with the basics on the cabin. The pictures online don't do it justice. It's beautiful from the outside, and even better on the inside. Very spacious, and every bit of the space is used well. Extremely well appointed with a fun bear theme. It feels very woodsy, but not in a tacky way. For our visit Dec. 31 to Jan. 8, there was even a Christmas tree decorated with unique ornaments. Anyhow, it includes, as stated, 3 bedrooms, 3.5 bath (2 of them ensuite with oversized tub/shower combo) with plenty of closet space AND an extremely fun basement (more on this later). Everything in the cabin is high quality, from the comfy La-Z-Boys to the uniquely carved wooden coffee table to the stainless steel appliances, top of the line washer and dryer and soft towels. Everything you could possibly need is there at the cabin for you, including some soap and shampoo, dishwasher detergent, etc. to get you started. We cooked almost every meal, and the amount, and variety, of dishes, utensils, pots and pans was impressive. There's free wireless Internet, and Dish TV provides tons of channels to choose from. My wife and I decided to take our our two sons (ages 5 and 10) and my mother-in-law. We drove up 750 miles from Miami and my dad drove down the same distance from Michigan to meet us. The cabin was a perfect getaway for our winter family vacation. The boys shared the bunkbeds, my dad had a queen to himself in the loft, and my mother-in-law took the upstairs bedroom, leaving the downstairs for myself and my wife. One of the cool features is that the upstairs bedroom has double french doors opening up to a private balcony, and the downstairs bedroom has doors opening up to the screened-in porch and the outdoor fireplace.....Some other perks: The wrap-around porch is mostly screened in and has tons of rocking chairs to relax on and enjoy the beautiful view. The hot tub is a nice bonus. And the basement has a pool table, pinball, foosball, bean-bag toss and a huge TV.....not to mention a bar complete with sink and microwave. Oh, and there's a heater down there as well. You could stay in this cabin the whole time and not get any cabin fever. It's in a community, so you don't feel like you're in the middle of nowhere alone....BUT there's plenty of space between the cabins and plenty of privacy.....I know I'm leaving out so much, but trust me, it's awesome....And what made the experience extr"

  • Wonderful

"The house is huge and has everything you would need already. Wi-fi would be a great addition so you could look up additional things to do or see while you're in the area. Of course the view is amazing. We encountered one hiccup when we first arrived but the owners took care of it and rest of our stay was smooth. As others have stated in their review, the drive up is eventful. I would say that driving your daily average sedan is not what you want to do. Really should have a truck or 4 wheel drive and excellent brakes! For this reason alone I did not give 5 stars. And never ever get there after dark! I will say that the drive up and down is something we will never forget as well as the stunning view!"
