  • Top Notch Mountain Home

"This was the second visit for our group of dear friends, and we cannot say enough wonderful things about this home. From the spectacular views that make you feel like you're on top of the world, to the tiniest of details like the super soft bed linens and the quality kitchen tools, and everything in between, you will want to return again and again. The outdoor area with comfortable seating and an amazing fireplace was where we spent most of our time- enjoying the stunning views and sunsets, talking, and laughing. Then at night we each had our own quiet and relaxing rooms to read and rest. We cooked several meals in the clean, looks-and-feels-like new kitchen with state of the art appliances, and sank into the beautiful couches for a movie or 2 on Netflix. Cannot say enough good things about this home and it's owners."

  • Perfect home base for weekend wedding festivities

"Truly enjoyed this cabin and the entire Big Canoe experience for a close friends wedding weekend. The cabin was extremely well positioned within big canoe (close to swim club, chapel, nice playground in very close proximity) and was very nicely kept. Cabin amenities were great and all was in very nice condition for our party of 8 (4 of which were 4 years old or younger - kids loved it, especially the loft). If I had to have one critique of the cabin - and it was also mentioned by another reviewer - it was quite dark throughout the entire cabin- simply not enough lights. It doesn't get a ton of sunlight due to the significant tree canopy surrounding the cabin, so we had every single light on in the house (during the day) and it was still dark inside. Definitely not a show stopper by any means but just an annoyance at times. Also, I would advise those not familiar with big canoe to do a little pre- planning. Especially in regards to knowing where this cabin is or other specific locations. There are main roads throughout but this cabin and really all of the cabins are off these roads in circling, very hilly sections with very confusing street signs. You will learn the layout quickly but it does have a learning curve."

  • Best vacation

"I don't think there's a single bad thing to say about this wonderful cabin except what many have said before about the driveway... I have a 2002 Pontiac Montana and if you put it in 1st gear it eventually made it up the driveway a couple times but I quit trying after that.. too nerve wracking... my sister however has an awd so that made it up no problem... other than the driveway this house is a dream, beautiful unfinished wood, awesome hot tub, great pool table (couple pockets are "broken") Rich was a thrill to work with... he's such a patient man and extremely nice! My family and I would stay here agin in a heartbeat and just might next Christmas if my family comes to ga again for the holidays! I'd highly recommend this place to anyone!"

  • Great Mountain Adventure

"Christmas 2016 - even though no snow our family had a great time. Beautiful home in the mountains and we had a blast hiking the trails! Home was clean, spacious, and cozy with the chilly weather outside."
