  • Clean and Comfortable

"This property which is nestled in a quiet neighborhood was very clean and comfortable. It had all the amenities we needed to make it feel like home away from home.My son was in a baseball tournament at LakePoint Sports Complex and the Atlanta area. This property is a short and scenic drive to LakePoint. The beach which is only 1 block away was clean and beautiful. We were there twice a day. There is also a park , picnic areas , and walking trails adjacent to the beach. The small and quiet town offers a few restaurants. We went to J.D's BBQ. Very good food. If we were to come back to this area we would definitely stay here again. Beth the owner was helpful and friendly."

  • Peaceful and perfect!

"We stayed for a month at this lovely home and couldn't have been happier with the arrangement! The owners, Donna and Dave, were easy to work with and responsive to our text messages and/or calls. The home is clean and pest free, and the kitchen is fantastic, allowing me to make many meals ahead of time easily! The stove top/oven is gas and is very efficient at cooking food properly and quickly! The backyard is peaceful and it has a screened in porch that allowed us to enjoy the cooler evenings without worrying about mosquitos or flies! We would recommend this home to anyone staying in the east Cobb area because of its proximity to shopping, restaurants and access to the interstate. If we return to the States again, we wouldn't hesitate to check its availability and stay here again!"

  • Wonderful Wedding Weekend

"Our family (mom, dad, 2 college-aged sons) spent 3 nights, 4 days, for a wedding at Ivy Hall. 1853 had plenty of room, the kitchen was well stocked, there were plenty of pillows, blankets, sheets. We ordered in a Swallow at the Hollow Barbeque dinner, which relatives stopped by to enjoy with us around the large dining room table. The house is a 12-minute drive to the North Springs MARTA station, where our sons arrived straight from Atlanta Hartsfield. Pick-up/drop-off easy. We walked Old Town, hiked nearby trails, went to the Saturday farmer's market. We had a few questions during our stay, which Bob answered via email. Checking in/out was flexible to the extent could be arranged, which was appreciated. Old Town Roswell is a bustling place, and the house is a block from Atlanta St., a major artery through town. Across the street is a “School of Rock” type business. Next door is a small business with its own parking area in the back, which was generally quiet on the weekdays and appeared closed over the weekend. We heard many sirens during our stay, but the nearest fire and police stations are several blocks from 1853."
