  • Perfect Romantic Getaway!

"My husband and I spend our anniversary weekend at the Blue Cottage, and we absolutely loved it. We would love to stay again. The cottage's layout is really cool with its open floor plan, and especially its spiral stairs leading up to the loft with a swinging bed. We especially enjoyed the hot tub! The cottage's fully stocked kitchen was great for us--we made breakfast a couple of times and also fried catfish that we purchased from a local grocer in Chattanooga. The cottage is very secluded--you feel like you are nestled in the woods on top of Lookout Mountain. We had a lot of fun exploring Point Park and Rock City, which are both a short (and scenic!) drive from the cabin. We can't wait to come back to the Blue Cottage!"

  • Wonderful Stay - Amazing View - Lovely Prioprietor

"We rented the cabin for a large group of adult family members, and ended up having some babies with us as well at the last minute. Julie was very patient and helpful prior to booking, as I was nervous about payments and such. She discussed it with me at length and offered me several options and that suited me well. The property itself was lovely. It was rustic and charming, as expected. Not a "luxury" retreat, but that's not what we wanted. There were actually more beds than we had anticipated, and so even though we had an extra person or two, all were very comfortable. The hot tub was excellent! It had just been refilled for us, and so we actually left it cool...which was great. It was the perfect place to relax, cool off in the heat, and look at the amazing view, which is truly breathtaking. We found everything we needed in the kitchen - our group chose to bring food and each couple took turns providing and preparing meals. My meal was complex, haha, but I didn't lack for any of the tools needed to make it. The wifi was great. The surrounding area is very nice, very quiet. (Note: bring some food with you ahead of time - closest real grocery is about 20-30 min.) We spent one day swimming at the Hippie Hole in the nearby Little River Canyon, and it was amazing. (There is a more shallow wading/stream area on the other side of the paved parking lot for children that I highly recommend! Our babies loved it.) The only thing we didn't get to do, unfortunately, was explore the nearby adorable tiny town strip of Mentone. We just ran out of time! All in all, though, a wonderful stay. The security deposit was returned promptly. We wouldn't hesitate to do business with Julie again."
