"Quaint little cabin in a location that is secluded but not far from the real world."

  • Amazing- right on the water, comfortable and cozy

"Kathy and Gary were great to work with- easy key pick up and good directions. They take extra care of the property. The minute we stepped out of the truck we could hear the river- which is about 15 feet from the deck you can relax on, grill out and soak in the hot tub. It was a little piece of heaven. We would travel an hour or so around to visit area waterfalls with short walking/ hiking distance, we visited some little small country towns, scoured thrift stores and antiques shops and then could not wait to get back to the River Houz ! The beds were awesome, the kitchen well stocked, and I loved being able to wash my clothes before the drive home. The best thing about the cabin was EVERYTHING- the worst was having to leave- even after a week we didnt want to go home. Oh did I mention you are steps from the water- I wanted to get it, but it was still kind of cold for this 53 yr old. We did try our hand at fishing, no luck, but we did see multitudes of deer, 1 turkey, and had geese at the cabin everyday- the last day mom and dad brought their 3 little babies. Kathy and Gary were awesome to work with. She had plenty of towels, no scrimping there either. We have stayed in several cabins and this was by far the best. Thank you for letting us enjoying your little slice of heaven !"

  • Perfect Romantic Getaway!

"My husband and I spend our anniversary weekend at the Blue Cottage, and we absolutely loved it. We would love to stay again. The cottage's layout is really cool with its open floor plan, and especially its spiral stairs leading up to the loft with a swinging bed. We especially enjoyed the hot tub! The cottage's fully stocked kitchen was great for us--we made breakfast a couple of times and also fried catfish that we purchased from a local grocer in Chattanooga. The cottage is very secluded--you feel like you are nestled in the woods on top of Lookout Mountain. We had a lot of fun exploring Point Park and Rock City, which are both a short (and scenic!) drive from the cabin. We can't wait to come back to the Blue Cottage!"

  • Relaxation and adventure all in one location.

"The cabin was beautiful and well equipped with everything you need to feel home away from home. The location is great as well. We were able to find shopping, horseback riding and white water rafting near by and still have complete privacy at the cabin. We can't wait until our next visit."
