  • Family Retreat from Florida Heat

"Our family group of 7 adults and 4 kids visited to escape the July Florida heat. The kids loved exploring the river, which is not too deep to wade, but deep enough to float around in a tube. The adults enjoyed watching the plentiful deer, turkeys and one curious groundhog the kids named Toccoa Tom. You can pick up a 50 pound bag of corn at the local Ace Hardware store in Blue Ridge, and the wildlife will thank you by appearing in large numbers. Light bugs really put on a show at sunset each day. The ice machine was one of the most valuable amenities to keep our cooler full while on the go. The cabin is secluded enough that traffic is not an issue for pets/children, and a small store a mile or two away has most basic needs on hand. The hot tub overlooking the river was an unexpected plus as well. Don't plan too much busy time, as the cabin and surrounding property has plenty of activity to keep the whole family entertained."

  • Clean, comfortable well stocked cabin. Perfect for family of 7.

"We loved our stay at Heavenly Hideaway. I agree with the reviews that drew us to this home. It is clean and well maintained. The owner contacted me prior to signing the contract to let me know that she had some scheduled fireplace maintenance during our week to make sure we were comfortable with that. We love to cook together rather than eat out. The kitchen was well stocked. We only had to buy groceries. The location was great. So many great outdoor activities near by. The owner provided a notebook full of activities and dining as well as maps. The cabin came with a fully stocked kitchen and them some, a very comfortable living area right off the kitchen which was a great family gathering area. It had a hot tub that was clean and well maintained. 2 porches with rocking chairs where we enjoyed early morning cups of coffee and relaxing rain storms. An awesome fire pit where we roasted s'mores. A game room downstairs stocked with old fashioned board games, a pool table and a bar as well as another couch and chairs for lounging. Though there were tv's we enjoyed a wonderful techology free week with our kids. It was an amazing old school vacation up in the mountains. We look forward to returning soon. Thank you Kelly for sharing your home with us!!"

  • Beautiful so peaceful a little bit of heaven

"We had a wonderful time at My Back Porch. Will be going back next year, has everything you every need. Yvonne said Pam was great to work with and my daughter loved feeding the corn to the deers. And the candle from the Tyler candle company fill the whole cabin, wish I had looked on bottom for the name of scent. Thank you so much for sharing with us your beautiful cabin. Only bad part was having to leave, I kept saying let's stay one more nite."

  • Ladies retreat from all over the country

"This was the first retreat for our ladies group. This was the most perfect cabin! We had 15 ladies attending. There was room for all of us comfortably. The deck was amazing, the views were amazing!!!! We all loved being there. We would definitely do this again. The owner was wonderful and so accommodating. We all wished we could have stayed longer. It is very close to the town of Blue Ridge and we enjoyed spending an afternoon shopping and some of us went out for dinner the last night. Great, great place!!!!"
