  • Perfect cabin for our group of 9

"We had a great time staying at the Summit Hideaway. The cabin is quiet and peaceful has everything you need especially for cooking which we did a lot of. The meals we cooked on the Big Green Egg came out awesome and the cabinets and drawers are stocked with plenty of cooking tools and utensils. The porches and decks were great for our little dogs and have great views of the valley and mountains. Some of us took a little ride to Blue Ridge to shop and eat some just hung around at the fire pit. I was very pleased with the owners, I needed to contact the them a few times prior to going and they responded right away. I would recommend this cabin to people who are looking to get away and enjoy the seclusion."

"We, my husband, three adult daughters and one son in law arrived late at night. So it was great to see a beautiful log home and have everything just like what was listed on the property list. It was January, so cold and rainy. We didn't care...we had places to go explore. I know it is really pretty when the trees have leaves. The cabin was just perfect for our group. We would love to rent again if we are ever up that way again. Deanna from Florida"

  • Quiet, cozy and very clean

"My two best friends and I rented this cabin for a girls getaway weekend and couldn't have been more pleased! We were extremely impressed with how impeccably clean and well stocked it is. There are ample towels (kitchen, bath, and pool), cleaning products (including dishwasher and laundry soap), trash bags, and even coffee, filters and tea bags! We did quite a bit of cooking and had plenty of pots, pans, and dishes. We were surprised to see that she even had some spices on hand. The furniture is comfortable (including both beds) and the decor is very pretty. The weather was a bit cool while we were there and the fireplaces did a nice job of warming the home. The wall units also provide air or heat so we were always comfortable temperature wise. There are 3 sitting areas in addition to the two bedrooms and separate dining room (which also had a small couch so that could count as a 4th sitting area). Outside, there are 2 separate decks. The bigger one in back overlooks the pool and has a big round table and chairs for outdoor eating and a grill nearby. A smaller deck on the side of the house is cozy and has 2 chairs and a small table. When we sat outside, it was quiet with only a very occasional car passing by. We felt secluded as the neighbors are a good distance away. We did go to the lake (walkable or a 1 minute drive) and built a fire in the pit using the logs that are provided. It is very peaceful there. The pool was closed for the season but we were imaging how nice it would be in the summer to swim surrounded by woods. I think we will have to go back and find out! The owner was very responsive and gracious when we booked. Overall, it is a superb rental and we highly recommend it."
