  • Beautiful home and property, peaceful, warm , inviting

"Wonderful vacation memories were made here! Lisa and Charlie are warm and inviting-- their hospitality is top- notch. We felt at home immediately. We stayed here for 3 nights with our 3 young children. The kids got to help pick coffee cherries and sample sugar cane. Lisa and Charlie gave us great insider tips for places to go with the kids ranging for hiking, to dining, to swimming at local beaches. Their home is filled with wonderful books for kids and adults alike. A handful of fun, family movies is available for viewing. Hope to return one day."

  • At the top of VRBO properties!

"This property was all we hoped it would be: beautiful and private. The hosts were as nice as could be and add truly nice touches that made us feel like they really cared that our vacation stay was pleasant. The cottage is immaculately maintained and we were welcomed with fresh fruit, muffins and coffee which was greatly appreciated since we arrived after dark and didn't have to find a grocery store that night. The location is perfect! The best beaches on the island are 10 minutes away - Hapuna Beach, Beach 69, and the petroglyphs/, all which have beautiful sandy beaches, some shade, and snorkling. The small town of Waimea is 5 minutes away and we made an easy day trip up to the north part of the island to visit the Vanilla Farm, Havi, and cowboy country. Going south of Kona for snorkeling, shopping or to the City of Refuge is also an easy drive. Can't say enough good things!"

  • Very relaxing and peaceful stay

"My wife and I stayed here during early November. We had a bit of a time finding the place (our iPhone misdirected us) but Mary was easily able to give us the correct direction. David was a great host and answered any questions that we had concerning the area. The property is very nice. Be aware there will be rain and clouds but it's not bad at all. This area is very quiet and a great place to relax."

  • Magnificent view from cute studio

"This was a great place to stay for a few days. The view from the studio is incredible. We loved walking through the orchard and seeing all the fruits on the trees. It was fun walking into "town" as well as walking to the Waipio Valley Lookout. How nice not to have to deal with a car and parking. The shower was one of the most amazing showers we've had in a long time; it reminded us of the days before low-flow water restrictions. The bed was super comfortable. The kitchenette has the basics to make limited meals ie. spaghetti. There's no oven but you can buy pre-made food and just heat it up in the microwave. This was a very relaxing location and only about a half hour from Waimea where we attended the Cherry Blossom Festival. I would highly recommend this place."
