  • Fantastic! A Private Resort ALL to Ourselves! (1 of 2)

"This is so much more than a rental home. It is an experience all in itself! It truly has a resort feel without having to share the grounds and amenities with anyone else. The magic begins from the second you drive through the gates of the property. The driveway is expansively lined with gorgeous vegetation and fruit trees on either side. It was so long that I started to think we were on another road with other houses, but nope! Just a very long and beautiful driveway leading to a spectacular private property at the bottom of the hill. As soon as we walked through the beautifully carved and colorful TIKI doors, we were in complete awe! The online photos of this property and the surrounding landscape are amazing, but they can never do justice to seeing it firsthand for the first time! Breathtaking! The views are astounding to see and the home and grounds are equally stimulating. The bright colors and intricate details of this property are top notch. Our family of 9 spent all of our meals at the wonderful patio table. Lots of great memories made in the pool & hot tub. The monopoly board got plenty of use in the evenings and we managed to finish the 1200 piece puzzle the night before we left. One of my favorite things in this house was the stone shower off the master bath. Wasn’t sure how I would feel about showering “outside” but when you are in paradise, surrounded by gorgeous foliage and falling flower petals, you really don’t mind sharing your shower with an occasional bird or praying mantis. The kitchen was magnificent! 2 ovens, 2 microwaves, 2 dishwashers, a refrigerator big enough to feed an army! An indoor grill for making lots of bacon and pancakes at once, and an amazing wok station! We used it all! The property was spotless, including the pool and hot tub. The only downside of this area (not the property) is the elevation. The north shore of the island gets more rain, which is why It’s so lush and beautiful in comparison to the south (rocky) shore. But with the elevation and rain comes cooler temperatures. It would be 60 and rainy at the house, but if you drove south to the beaches (1–1.5 hrs) it would be 80/85 degrees and sunny. February is one of the cooler, rainier months on the Big Island, so if we are ever fortunate enough to return, we would come during the warmer, drier months so we could enjoy this property to its fullest! • My beautiful home away from home

"I can't begin to say how much I loved this place. It was amazing to sit on the lani & look out over the lush landscape to the view of the ocean. Some nights you could see the cruise ship lit up going by. By day at times could see the whales going by. A wonderfully quiet place where all you hear is The sound of nature. My hosts, Jim (he said to make sure I told you the handsome one 😊) & Kim, where amazing. Always making sure everything was ok or if I needed anything. I will tell anyone who wants the experience of a lifetime this is the place to be. If or when I ever return I will always want to stay here with my new friends that I am going to miss very much. Thanks guys & hope to see you in the future 😘"

  • Amazing

"Exceeded our expectations! The view from the lanai was breathtaking and the grounds rivaled the botanical gardens. Our host made sure we had everything we needed including snorkeling gear, we came with another couple and the layout of the property was almost like having two separate rentals for the price of one."

  • Paradise Found!

"If you are reading this and don't stay here, you lose. The cottage is beautiful with a terrace deck overlooking the coastline. A fruit tree orchard is in the back yard. Walk across the driveway and you will hear the stream about 50 ft. below you. Walk down the path and there is a stone stairway and path that leads to the stream and a little waterfall. There are 3 natural pools to enjoy. On a clear day you can see Maui. The owners are very nice, Paula does her best to make sure you feel right at home. We just can't say enough about what a fantastic place this is."
