  • Fantastic stay !!

"Everything was great. Really couldn't have asked for a better place to stay on the Hamakua Coast. All correspondence with owner was fast and accurate. Should we find ourselves on the big island again, we will return."

  • Breathtaking View in Authentic Hawaiian Setting

"We stayed our first 2 nights in Hawaii at this amazing cottage overlooking the Waipio Valley. You think sometimes when you book these places that the pictures are enhanced and exaggerated. Well, I'm here to tell you that your mouth will drop the moment you park your car and get out. If you are interested in hiking down the valley, don't hesitate to book this cottage. We are explorers, so for us, 2 nights was a perfect amount of time to experience the area and cute, quiet town of Honoka'a. When you arrive at the airport, drive through Waimea, pickup your groceries, then make you're way here. Settle in, have the coqui frogs serenade you into a good nights sleep (if you are a sensitive sleeper, there will be earplugs), then wake up and hike down to the valley. We had an amazing black sand beach all to ourselves and saw horses grazing. The hike back up is a challenge but we looked at it as our workout for the day. You could probably hitch a ride on the way back up if you needed to. After getting cleaned up, get those calories back by heading into town and go to Tex Drive In for lunch and malasadas to die for (can't stop thinking about those malasadas)."

  • Peaceful, Comfortable, & Convenient

"I spent 3 nights at the property. I found the host very accommodating, the facility spacious and clean, and the location perfect for my needs. I was there on business so I cannot speak about the recreational options, but I was aware of their existence. The bed was comfortable, there was a huge soaking tub, a stand alone shower, reliable wi-fi access, a kitchen with all necessary utensils, and satellite television--everything needed to make my stay very enjoyable. I would suggest that the host provide a microwave for the property but that would be my only complaint. Should the need arise I will seek out this property again. HF"

  • Beautiful and quiet get-away

"We stayed here for four nights in December. It was easy to check-in and out, and we felt welcomed warmly. The two bedrooms were comfortable and my daughter loved the deep hot tub. I'd definitely stay here again if we are in Hamakua."
