  • Excellent for the price you pay

"I was a bit uneasy after reading some of the lower ratings...but really! Those people could spend five times more and they might be happy. We were a group of six, and the only downfall was that our two youngest slept in the living room. One on a blow up mattress and the other on the couch. There was one blanket and we were thankful our son had packed a big enough blanket that he used. We go to play hard and are grateful for warm showers at the end of the day and someplace to crash hard, the two beds were comfortable. I would not recommend this place for six adults. Sleeps four comfortably. Bonus: they have beach umbrellas, chairs and boogie boards....very grateful! Ana' Basee' (thank you very much)"

  • Unsurpassable Sunsets and Privacy

"To whom it may concern or lucky enough to be able to book this property. This was my fourth visit to The Big Island and I knew I wanted to stay north of Kona. After several hours of research and contacting owners on two internet sites (VRBO and Airbnb) I was convinced by Ms Freeman that Honu Kai was an ideal place for a writer seeking quiet and inspiration. Honu Kai was all that and more with the unobstructed view of the Pacific Ocean or as I call it "God’s infinity pool” and the magnificent sunsets. Ms Freeman and her staff where very welcoming but not intrusive. Bottom line is my fifth visit to The Big Island will be at Seaside and for two months. Michael Tomlin"

  • Perfect start

"You're ohana was a perfect place for me to start my life in Hawaii. It had everything I needed to live day to day. Better than a hotel by far. I always felt I had all the privacy I needed and you were always a responsive and delightful host. The wonderful bananas from your tree were just icing on the cake. Thank you for your kindness and true Hawaiian aloha. Mahalo."
