  • A perfect location in a country setting

"Great condo! It was just as described. Clean, well maintained, and appointed. It is also in a great location in the country. Ocean on one side and mountains on the other. We easily traveled to all points on Oahu from here but mostly stayed on the north shore as the beaches and country setting are quiet and stunning! Heidi was a pleasure to work with. Always responsive and accommodating."

  • Nice hidden paradise!

"My husband and I were enjoying our vacation at Aloha Tropical for 10 days at the end of August, 2016. This is a nice, cosy studio located in a very quiet, friendly neighborhood of Kailua. The environment is super pleasant and convenient for a relaxing family vacation. We loved our peaceful mornings with breakfast by the pool while listening to the tropical birds and making plans for the day. Also, the pool served as a natural A/C during the day time when we happened to be at home and not at the beach or hiking. Numerous windows and a beautiful garden make the studio very airy and allow to unite with the Hawaiian nature, which was our goal. Such experience can hardly be achieved if staying at a hotel in a big city. The owners were super friendly and helpful: we had all the equipment that one might possibly need for a great vacation, such as plenty of towels and cleaning stuff, small kitchen equipped with the dishes, fridge, toaster and coffeemaker, other house stuff like iron, hairdryer, fresh linens, also all things needed for the beach, snorkeling, and kayaking. The owners provided useful info about the local events and were always there for us if we needed, but they never disturbed us. The house is located very conveniently to all the local shops and cafes, and close to Kailua and Lanikai beaches. But we also were able to go to Honolulu very often for the night events. All in all , I would definitely recommend this property to anyone!"

  • Couldn´t imagine a better place

"We had an awesome stay at Hale Hibiscus. Denise and Jeff are great hosts, they did everything to make us feel comfortable. They took care about our late arrival and also communication was great before. They supported us with all informations. The place was completely reworked and everything is new. The dog was cute and also the cats are awesome, we loved our morning greeting in the morning with them. Althoug Denise and Jeff was also on vacation, they took care about us and how it was going. You have everything at this home what you need for a longer stay. They provide you with bikes, bodyboard, snorkelling equippment and many more. Some day we will come back and stay at the exact place. Better drive to Waikiki than to stay in the big hotels."

  • Loved our time at this place!

"I recently rented this place over New Years week. I had never been to Hawaii and didn't know how awesome the Lanikai beaches are. Our family stayed here including 3 adults and 3 kids ranging from 1-70 years old. This was the perfect size for our group. Place: This is actually 3 places, the caretaker, Patrick, lives downstairs and was very accommodating. He let our children play in the grass area which was part of his space. He was very responsive when we asked to borrow additional kitchen items. There is another place also downstairs that has a completely separate entrance and we never saw or heard the people staying there. The interior is all one level. The master looks out with a nice ocean view and is right off the living space. I wasn't sure what to expect since the pictures show what looks like a stairs but these are locked off. We are really glad it was one level given we had a baby. They left us a high chair, pack n' play, and some beach chairs/umbrellas which was really helpful. Location: Lanikai is great for walking. The beach was about a 10 minute walk (with a stroller and 2 young children). It is also great for exercise walks and hiking pill box, which has excellent views. The only downside was that because it was a super busy week there was massive traffic issues so bad that we couldn't get out of Lanikai on two nights. My husband talk to a cop in line to get out and estimated between 2-3 hours to get to the main road from the loop. We canceled our plans and grilled out instead. It ended up working out fine but had we had plans that we couldn't move it would have been a real bummer. I would definitely come back here and rent again. Owners were great and the people were very nice everywhere we went. Mahalo for sharing your home with us!"
