  • Very nice and comfortable

"Everything was great even though it is remote. Cottage has comfortable bed. The only suggestion is to have coffee/tea available. A coffee maker is in the room but we to go buy coffee. Hosts were very friendly."

  • A place to just be and relax... beautiful 180* view

"Gathered my leadership team at this home for a staff retreat. Beautiful setting for meditation and a place to just "be." Spacious home, with great outdoor and indoor spaces to gather. Able to open up bay windows overlooking the ocean throughout the home all day with natural breezes. Close to Hilo, easy to find, yet feels secluded. Arrived to the home with lots of "extras"... fresh island fruit, supplies for smores, wine and local bottled water. We used the outdoor BBQ grill and stove top. House could have used more mixing bowls, serving dishes and a can opener. But everything else was in abundance... toiletries, towels, knives, glasses, dishes, silverware, oil and spices. Loved it here. Would come back again in the near future."

  • A beautiful and peaceful place for a vacation.

"The pictures do the place justice. It is beautiful and well thought out. Kealani did a great job making us feel welcome. The fresh fruit bowl waiting on the table and the fresh flowers on the counter were wonderful additions. There were 2 very minor things. First - the master shower hot water is very hot and the temperature of the water faded up and down significantly between cold and scalding during a typical shower. This can be addressed easily and I'm sure it will be. It was the holidays so we didn't report it to Kealani and just dealt with it. We were quite sad to watch the progress of the wild pigs through the property during our stay. They were devastating the lawns and much of the landscaping. Certainly no reflection on the owners or Kealani and we wish them luck figuring out how to deal with this problem. Amazing how destructive those wild pigs are! We would return in a heartbeat!"

  • Exceeded expectations- very comfortable even in the rain!

"The owners are extra nice and even had a Christmas tree for us. The property was beautiful, the cottage charming and hot tub great! If we return to Hilo I would definitely want to stay there!!"
