"Thank you for the stay that was very friendly and welcoming. It was a nice time to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and view. The cabin was very neatly organized and the bed clean, warm and comfortable. I enjoyed watching the sunrise through the big cabin window in the peacefulness of being high up in the mountains. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Aloha, Danny"

  • Breezy lovely get away

"Terre provided great information before and at the guesthouse. It was lovely and within a walk to a place we could watch the surfers. Lots of exotic sounds at night! We only stayed one night but I could imagine staying here for longer...Thanks!"

"We enjoyed our stay at this small studio apartment nestled in the jungle. The kitchenette is small and is adequate for making coffee and warming restaurant leftovers. The apartment was very quiet and clean. The frogs serenaded us at night, but we had no problems dropping off to sleep. Outside there is a nice garden area with a patio table and chairs and a picnic table. The owners are exceptionally nice and accommodating. They were there when we arrived, but otherwise they gave us our space and privacy. Because it rains a lot in Hilo, we would probably get a room with an ocean view next time. But, for the price you can't beat this studio! The restaurants we would recommend are 'Pineapples', a romantic indoor/outdoor restaurant in downtown Hilo, 'Sambats,' a wonderful Thai restaurant, and 'Sweet Cane Cafe', which has a five stars farm to table vegetarian/vegan menu. Be sure to go to Volcanos National Parks Jaggar Museum and travel the 19 mile Chain of Craters Road. Another must see is the Hawaii Tropical Botanical Gardens. Other recommendations would be the tide pools at Kapoho, a natural heated pool at Ahalanni, Akaka Falls, Rainbow Falls, and the Volcano Tour Boat. You will want to purchase produce etc. from the Farmers Market."
