  • FAB-U-LOUS!!!

"Everything you'd need, is there! This is my 6th go around with VRBO and AirBnB and I've gotta tell you, I have yet to be disappointed. Hotels should take caution for with this option and the rates? Hotels are going to be a thing of the past. Where do I begin...privacy. The foliage is grown to offer just that...and peaceful aside from the Coqui's which is fine because my family and I slept well still. Better the Coqui's up mauka (mountain) than traffic noise and sounds of O'ahu. The house is comfortable, welcoming and very spacious. We were there for an entirely sad reason, but being in this home and only a few miles from Ho'okena Beach made the mood a little bit lighter. Bob, my family and I cannot thank you enough for your hospitality. I do apologize for the late review, but I didn't want to post a modest review. I needed to post exactly what your property deserves. I'd definitely send people your way. Mahalo Bob Hoffman a me Hale Honu!!!"

  • An Excellent Choice for Our Group

"Unit 2003 was every bit as nice as the description made it sound. We found the unit clean and very nicely equipped. There were also plenty of towels, soap for kitchen/dishwasher/clothes washer, coffee filters, etc. We ate all our meals at the condo to save money. Really, the only negative for our group was that the third bedroom is not very private and those staying there must go downstairs to use the bathroom. This was described on the website so my point is just that this unit is probably better for 4 adults and 2 kids rather than 3 couples. This unit is very conveniently located both in terms of being right on the water and in terms of easy access. From Kona and points north you can take Hwy 11 to get there quickly. A complete shopping center is very close by but just far enough away that you don't notice it unless you go there. One last very fun thing to do.... a short walk from the condo is the Keauhou Canoe Club. They are very friendly and offer morning paddles for no charge. If you've never paddled an outrigger, this is your chance. Just show up in a bathing suit - they supply the paddle, a big boat you'll share with experienced members, and instruction. Be sure to hum the Hawaii 5-0 theme only to yourself!"

  • Wonderful beach house!

"We spent two weeks at the Honu House, celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. The home was very clean, functional and fully stocked with all essentials! The path to the secluded beach was very short, and the beach itself was perfect - just what the doctor ordered! We would definately stay here again should we return to the Big Island! 2Papayas, the property management company, was wonderful and always responsive to questions - including those related to places to go and where to find the best local food, etc."

  • loved this condo & the location!

"We had the best vacation ever staying at Waikoloa & at this condo! The condo was near so many beaches & not too far from the airport. The condo was immaculate, spacious & decorated nicely. The linens were clean, soft & plentiful. We had all the necessary items needed for the beach including snorkeling equipment, cooler,, beach chairs, towels & umbrella. The kitchen was fully stocked with coffee maker, blender & all cooking essentials. The view onto the golf course was wonderful-we ate out on the deck every time we weren't eating out. We went out onto the golf course at night & saw hundreds of stars. The pool was clean, but not over chlorinated & we usually had the pool to ourselves. We used the pool by the barbeque for steaks & there was a patio eating area to use by the pool. We went twice to 48 black sand beach (about a 15 minute drive) & went snorkeling, where we saw sea turtles & eels. We also went to the Mauna Kea Resort & Hilton Waikoloa for drinks & the public beach next to the hotels-good swimming there too. We were here in August, warm in the day but the nights were nice-kept the fans going and we were comfortable. I can't wait to come again-I've been to Oahu, Kauai & Maui (Maui 6 times), but now the Big Island of Hawaii is my favorite!!"
