  • Wonderful property, Awesome owner and property manager.

"We were in Hawaii for my daughter's wedding, my sisters, my husband and I decided to extend our stay a few days and see a bit more of the island. There were 6 people in our party and this house was perfect for our group. I have rented on VRBO for at least 10 years and always had good experiences, but this was was by far the best! The owner was a joy to deal with, she was very accommodating when our plans changed slightly and was incredibly prompt with all communication. The property manager was super sweet and friendly and always available for anything we needed. The house is more amazing than the pictures. It is plenty big, the kitchen island had the 6 stools for all of us but we sat out on the beautiful lanai more often. The kitchen by far was more well equipped than any other home I have ever stayed at. My husband is a caterer and when we rent houses in the states and drive we always take extra pots and knifes and the like because we always know there will not be sufficient tools. Not in this home, there is more than enough of absolutely every appliance and tool and dish that any culinary genius would need to prepare gourmet meals. We used the grill several evenings and it worked great, outdoor lanai area was wonderful to hang out in, the pool was clean and refreshing. The bedrooms were all quite large enough, the beds were comfy and the bathrooms were spacious and clean and modern. I loved being a little bit away from the more populated areas for a while since we live in a metropolitan area, it is nice to get a break. The little town nearby was very quaint and everyone was so friendly. We loved all the local sites, green sands beach, south point shore, black sands beach, volcano national parks(all close by). There was this great little farm on south point drive that we enjoyed tasting their wares(signs along the road). All in all, we loved this house and the area. I wish this house were closer to me, maybe on the gulf coast, because I would rent it every summer for vacation. Who knows, maybe I will be able to return to Hawaii more often. Thank you Lori for letting us enjoy your home!"

  • Awesome Place - Great Stay!

"We love this condo! It has beautiful high beam wooden ceilings and a great deck, with an amazing view! We liked the high stools and table on the deck so much we contacted Sue to ask where she got it!! The place was clean, well-stocked, and cozy. The Big Island is amazing. Our highlights were getting incredible close-up photos of a Short Eared Owl on a post, two whales breaching, and seeing a 45-foot splashing lava flow at night on the Volcano! Sue was super helpful and reached out to us several times. Thank you, we would love to come again!"

  • Clean and quiet community

"Condo is well stocked, very near Punaluu beach (a very cool black sand beach -- we got up close and personal time with two sea turtles in a tide pool), nice pool on site, and best of all the owner (Sam) was always helpful and in contact throughout our stay to answer any questions. We arrived right after Tropical Storm Darby was leaving. She took with her the tradewinds. It made the condo a bit steamy, as there is no air conditioning. Two fans kept the air moving and sleeping with the doors open made for a good night's sleep. If you like a place off the beaten path that's quiet yet close to the ocean, I highly recommend this rental. Check out the Ka'u coffee plantation just down the road. Great coffee and delicious Macadamia nut treats."

  • Paradise Realized

"With most of our group having come from -20 degrees and a foot of snow on the ground, this was absolute paradise! The house is immaculate, spacious, comfortable, beautifully furnished, and quiet. The all inclusive kitchen made cooking easy and fun. Tropical views dazzled us everywhere, from sunrises over pool, breakfasts on lanai, beautiful landscaping, to amazing stars at night. What a sensory delight! Location is secluded yet perfect for activities/sites in Kona, Hilo, Volcanoes, and more. Having such a spacious house afforded our group plenty of room of room to sprawl, relax and recharge after all our island explorations. We loved the local BUZZ Honey, macadamia, coffee farm with birds, orchid farm, Naalehu and its charming bakery, dining (Hana Hou & Shaka's), church, and the warm friendly locals and neighbors. We did not want to leave and hope to return soon. It was a magical vacation. Mahalo for sharing!"
