  • Beautiful Property & Delightful Host!

"What a fantastic property! The cottage was SPOTLESS, bright, and incredibly relaxing. The linens were lovely, and the cottage was tastefully decorated. I appreciated the toiletries, especially the lavender bubble bath. The location is rural and peaceful--I loved walking to the Buddhist temple down the road. It was about a half hour drive to Volcano National Park. Though I did not meet Anne personally, she was a fantastic host and a great communicator. She offered suggestions for nearby restaurants, hikes and even provided little itineraries for daily adventures. Based on my experiences, I would highly recommend this property to friends and family!"

  • Fabulous home base for exploring the Big Island

"Although we had an epic finding the place after dark in a rainstorm, this is an absolutely perfect place to stay! It's several miles off the main road (Rt. 11) but a perfect place to relax, enjoy the birdsongs, and revel in the island's beauty. The cottage is equipped with everything you need, including good bicycles and snorkeling gear. You'll wake up early on your first morning to birdsongs and sunrise--straight out your bedroom window. The cottage is beautiful, wonderfully decorated and with everything you need, including kimonos. The gas-fired stove comes on early to take the cool edge off the morning, and the sound and flickering light are charming. Tom and Missy are instantly available if you need them, as we did when we had questions or had to admit that we had driven away and left the snorkel gear in the parking lot. Tom was gracious, and despite his recommendation, we replaced the lost gear. The grounds are utterly beautiful, the outdoor shower is fabulous, and the chairs overlooking the beautiful eastward view made this an unforgettable vacation, one we hope we can repeat again and again."

  • Quiet and relaxing!

"The condo was as described! We were so pleased to arrive and find all as described. Our goal was peace and quiet and relaxation, we got it! The folks were kind and easy to work with, the black sand beach near-by is stunning in every sense. This off the beaten path location was a perfect base for our explorations of Volcanoes National Park, snorkeling and other beautiful hiking sites. Thanks!"

  • Home away from home!!

"Our family had the privilege of staying at this beautiful vacation rental for a month and a half. I can't even begin to describe how fabulous this home is. It is situated in a peaceful residential community surrounded by a golf course, lovely green vegetation, palm trees, and flowers. Everything you need for your stay in Hawaii is available at this home to make your trip very comfortable. The kitchen is amazing. It is fully equipped with every appliance, baking pan, and cooking supply that you could ever need. The entire back wall of the kitchen living room is a huge window with 2 large sliding glass doors that open out to a lovely lanai overlooking the pool and golf course. It hs the feel of an outdoor living space. The lanai is a covered dining space and is fabulous, complete with a built in gas grill. This area is perfect for sitting having coffee, watching the sunrise and listening to the birds but then offers shade for later in the day. All of the bedrooms are nice sized and beautifully decorated. The beds are very comfortable and nice linens are provided. TVs throughout the home work great as does the internet. There are beach chairs, coolers, and umbrellas for use at the beach. Also, a very nice washer and dryer. I can't say enough of how much we loved this home. The owner and property managers were wonderful to work with and very accommodating with meeting any of our needs. We thoroughly enjoyed this area including exploring South Point, the Green Sand and Black Sand Beaches, Hookena Beach-snorkeling and swimming with the dolphins, the volcano, and the lovely little town of Na'alehu. There are 2 nice grocery stores in the town of Ocean View which is 15 minutes away. It is a bit of a drive to Kona or Hilo but if you are wanting a nice relaxing vacation out of the busy city and resort area this definitely is a place for you."
