  • Big Island getaway condo feels like home away from home!

"We were absolutely, completely satisfied with our stay in Vista Waikoloa D-301! From the time we rented this condo until the time we checked out, the owners did everything possible to make our accommodations comfortable and memorable! This condo is in a fabulous location, with beautifully manicured grounds and many amenities. D-301 is spacious, has updated Hawaiian décor, and comes equipped with any extras you might need, including beach equipment and a barbeque pit. If we have an opportunity to return to the Big Island, we will definitely rent the Gablehouse' condo again. Mahalo!"

  • Great Rental in Awesome Location!

"My family stayed in this condo for 3 nights over New Year’s Eve. It was a very clean and modern rental. The appliances in the kitchen, cooking utensils and pot and pans were all in great shape. The beds were very comfortable, and having a large tub in the master bath tub was nice. The sunset views from the condo were lovely. The furniture on the lanai was of nice quality and it was enjoyable to sit out and enjoy the view. One of the golfing tees is off the lanai and you could sit and watch. It didn’t seem that the golf course was overly busy. The automatic blinds that lowered to help keep the place cool when the afternoon sun was beaming into the house were a very nice design. Of course the condo has air-conditioning if needed. We paid for the amenity package, but I really just used it to access Mauna Kea beach. I knew this was my motive when I bought it, and it was a super busy weekend for all the beaches, so for me it was worth the cost of having confirmed access at that beach. It’s hard to get into otherwise. I had heard that people showed up at 6 am to get one of the few public parking spots. It really is a lovely beach and never feels overcrowded. The condo is located in a gated community so it was very quiet and safe. Working with Bob to do a last minute rental was wonderful. He was very professional and responsive and my deposit was returned right away. And since there was a day between bookings I was able to get a later checkout which was very much appreciated. I would recommend this condo for anyone looking for an upscale condo in a peaceful location along the sunny Kohala coast."

  • Wish we never had to leave!

"We spent a week here and we wish we could have stayed a lifetime! This condo is centrally located on the Big Island in an amazing complex with gorgeous views. The unit was extremely clean, the beds very comfortable, the neighbors very sweet. The lanai was our favorite spot in the unit as the weather was wonderful. The beautiful geckos come out to enjoy breakfast and coffee with you each morning, and also dine with you in the evening. Sometimes you will be blessed with the presence of the wild Nene that run the course and, if you’re really lucky, there might be some babies tagging along. Starter toiletries were provided and ample, and the fully stocked kitchen even included things like plastic baggies, foil and garbage bags. There are ample linens and you have access to beach chairs, ice chests and sand toys, as well as a variety of books and movies for your reading & viewing pleasure. You have everything you need to be comfortable here. You’re not far from anything when you stay here. In fact, you’re only about 90 minutes max (depending on traffic) from just about anything you could want to see or do here. There’s a grocery store and gas station within walking distance. An hour North in one direction gets you to Pololu Valley which has the most amazing black sand beach, and in another direction gets you to Waipio Valley which has some awesome horseback riding. Cut West through the middle of the island for about an hour and you’ll hit the Hilo side where you can experience several amazing waterfalls such as Rainbow Falls and Boiling Pots, as well as the lush rainforests. We plan on making this a yearly vacation and will stay here every time, but just until we save up enough to purchase our own unit. Cannot wait to get back there!"

  • Fantastic Hawaiian Accommodations!

"Our family of four (2 adults, 2 teenagers) had an absolutely wonderful stay at Dennis' condo! We spent just under 3 weeks on the Big Island, and the condo was a perfect size to allow us to relax and spread out (the upstairs/downstairs configuration was perfect to give the adults and kids some separate space). Mauna Lani is a perfect spot from which to venture out on activities all over the island. We were just 1/2 hour from Kona/Kailua area, 1/2 or so from Waimea/Kohala/Hawi activities, and 1 1/2-2 hours from Hilo/Volcano area - perfect! The location itself is peaceful and quiet, but very close to lots of great beaches and the busier Waikoloa area. We made good use of the private beach parking card, and my husband and son enjoyed daily access to the onsite fitness room. The condo is absolutely lovely, and very well appointed! Couldn't have asked for a nicer stay! Dennis and Marci are both so friendly and great to work with (special thanks to Dennis for being so responsive when the AC went out - he had a repair person there to fix it the next day - a Sunday no less)! We'd recommend this condo to anyone, and would absolutely return next time we find ourselves on Hawaii. Thanks so much again! :)"
