  • Cozy, private and quiet. Close to town.

"The cabin in the woods was just what I needed for a few nights stay. It has everything I needed, was easy to find and was comfortable if you're okay with very close quarters (which I am)."

  • A Week in Dreamland....

"I shared the House of the White Owl with my 17 year old daughter, my husband and our best friend for a week and we all agreed there was no place we would rather have been. The house is cozy and comfy and has everything you need. The fresh fruit (papaya, mangoes, bananas) that awaited our arrival was fantastic! The mangoes were the best any of us had ever had. AND we learned that there are like 60 kinds of mangoes.... who knew?? The energy of the house and land is something special- at the House of the White Owl I felt both closer to the Earth, and closer to the sky..... The clicking geckos amused us all and we encountered no biting creatures of any type ;-) The closest town, Hawi, is great for its little coffee shop and Sushi Rock is top notch. The house is surrounded by rolling green hills, a 30 min drive from some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and less than 2 hours drive from a rocky hike up the lunar landscape of Mauna Kea for those souls who prefer to toil on their vacations ;-) I am basically counting the days til I can return ;-)"

  • Lovely Hawi

"My husband and I along with our 2 kids (ages 11 & 12) had a wonderful stay at Jim and Leah's place. They are great hosts and give you recommendations on where to go, beaches, etc... (just ask). Their ohana is all that you need. It comfortable, neat, clean and has WiFi. The outdoor shower is a bonus!!! Love this feature so much. The space was perfect for our family of four and had a great kitchen for cooking meals in. Hawi has some of the best sushi I have had at Sushi Rock and you must, must, must check out the food at Sol Kitchen at the Hawi Farmer's Market, so ono!!! This a good home base and is but is easily accessible to other areas such as Waimea and Kona. We cannot wait to return."

  • Beautiful Home in a fantastic location

"My family of four loved this home. The upstairs bedroom gave my kids their own space while we had plenty of privacy in the downstairs master suite. The kitchen was very well equipped with so many things, I kept finding new things on the 10th day! Laundry in a great location right as you come in from the garage and plenty of beach/pool accessories. My daughter loved the boogie boards and all the sand toys. Chairs were great at the beach. Super clean and plenty of towels and linens. The location is great. You can walk to Foodland and to the pool. The pool in the development is so nice. Lap pool and a family pool. The beach at the Mauna Lani was one of our favorites so it was nice to have beach access. They have great cabanas there. You can also drive 10 minutes to a bunch of other beaches. Oh and only a 10 minute drive to the best shave ice truck in Kawaihae! Thanks for providing a great home away from home."
