"Our first visit was perfection, and we spent most of our time at the house by the pool, and cooking while watching the sunrise and set, because we thought we would never return. Well return we did and it was just fabulous. Two slow weeks living island style. After a long days journey we were fortunate to meet Ali for a few short minutes, as she was on property to make sure everything was up to her standards. And they met ours as well. It was like coming home. Bonus was livestock in the Heathers. What a treat to wake up and see cattle grazing around us, as well as upcountry. And the birds and geckos abounded us with delight.
One day, upon returning to the property from a short excursion, I had to laugh at a negative review of this property. The winds were up and after a couple of hours the pool was indeed trashed. But my loving husband/pool boy skimmed it to perfection for my afternoon dip to cool off. People must realize this is a self catering experience, to live on a communal gated ranch.
I admit that I was concerned by August heat, but most nights it got cool enough to add the comfy blanket over the quality sheets, with a fan on. Ali personally made sure all ceiling and floor fans were in working order. She takes serving her guests very seriously, and I admire that personal dedication. She was always available to us if need be.
Thank you Ali for you true aloha hospitality in making our vacation a vacation to home.
We consider this home to be such a great value, when you consider the cost of maintenance. The pool man, the greens man, the gatekeeper, the ranch coop fees, the electricity. All in it was a again a great value. I am sure the owner is not even covering their costs.
Do not hesitate to make this your home for a short piece of your life. It is very rewarding."
