  • Unbelievable trip

"My husband and I loved our time spent on the Big Island and having such a warm , inviting place to rest and dine . There are views from most every window where you can gaze at the colors of the ocean , Sky ,golf course and the blossoming trees on the lawn . There are tvs in every room though we didn't watch them much . The kitchen is well stocked and even has martini glasses. There is an outdoor grill and fridge with patio dining overlooking the ocean . The beds are very comfortable and closets spacious. We did lots of hiking and the owners had great dining suggestions in the area. We also appreciated the amenities of the pool and beach access nearby . We got to see manta rays swim at night along the edge of the Mauna Kea resort . Snorkeling along the beach reef was also great ."

  • Excellent Home for a Family Vacation

"The house is impeccably maintained and had everything to make our stay incredibly comfortable. We barbequed, cooked, swam in the pool and enjoyed many beautiful sunsets from the lanai during our week trip. It was a great, spacious place to come back to everyday after sightseeing. We loved the place and it felt like home the moment we arrived. Way better than staying at a hotel for families."

  • Many Return Visits To Heaven!

"Over several years our family (grandparents, adult children, grandchildren, sometimes as many as eight) has stayed at this lovely place many times, maybe seven altogether, including a scheduled return in summer, 2017; never have we been disappointed or felt we should investigate elsewhere. As in so many of the "reviews," the place itself is magical in its flexibility, beauty, comfort and amenities. Other than to say we enthusiastically endorse the following reviews, we want to emphasize the extraordinary activities available to any visitor. On various stays we've gone to Volcano National Park, to Mauna Kea, bought freshly picked white pineapples from a farmer outside of Havi, gone deep sea fishing and dolphin/whale watching, swam with Manta Rays, experienced spear fishing, kayaking, "zip lining, "gone to farmer's markets, taken scuba lessons, snorkeled in places with unparalleled fish populations, watched the grandkids take both lessons and clinics from the teaching professionals at the Mauna Kea Tennis Center, have seen them come home exhausted from a day of beach and pool play at both the Hapuna Prince and Mauna Kea. Along with all the exotic activities, the kids love the pool/hot tub at the Wai 'Ula 'Ula amenity center, and after supper go there to play games in the pool and enjoy the hot tub before bed. The adult kids and their spouses love the exercise equipment at the WUU amenity center. In short, it's heaven to "veg" in the condo, or simply vary activities from day to day, depending on interest, energy level and age. In short, A101 is a complete destination in itself, but it is also a splendid gateway to an incredibly rich variety of activities!"
