  • Awesome

"First off, we are a local family who rented out Kai's home. My family and I are born and raised on the Hilo side of the island, our family tradition is to spend 4th of July on the West side preferably Waikoloa. We enjoyed the accommodations that Kai's house had to offer us. We enjoyed the beaches near by as well as the pool on site. The house allowed us to have private bedroom accommodations for each family member as well as quarter's large enough to eat meals and bond together. The property manager Burt was outstanding in working together with us to make our stay a perfect one! We really enjoyed ourselves and had an awesome time. As locals it is nice to get away and enjoy the beauty that our island has to offer in a community other than our own."

  • Relaxing view

"We have stayed a number of times at townhouses in Mauna Lani and this one had the nicest views from either the main floor or upper lanai. The location was a bit of a walk to the Shops (a must for happy hours) but the beach club was closer than from other locations and we enjoyed walking kings trail or the fisherman's trail (fantastic views) to Waikoloa. The unit was well equipped and had everything one needed. It was only my wife and I but with 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths you could easily have a large family or several couples share the place. We had a car and spent much of our time golfing at various courses (14 rounds at 7 different courses) with a great variety of styles. The beach club is nice but more crowded so you can always walk to the black sands beach next door (or drive if you are early enough, or late enough, that there is room to park) - just go to the security gate and ask for shore access. Lots of great beaches to explore all over the area if you are willing to drive and go for a bit of a hike."

  • Ran out of superlatives....

"The south Kohala Coast has become our favorite Hawaii destination, and this beautiful condo puts you in the heart of it, with a gorgeous view, and some of the best snorkeling in the state within easy walking distance: Honokaope, the small cove there at the 15th-hole, and Maka'iwa Bay/Beach. That's not to mention Napua Restaurant at Maka'iwa, which in our opinions is one of the best on the island. The Point complex was built to very high standards, and unit B107's owner makes an obvious effort to maintain that same standard with quality furnishings throughout, and interesting well-chosen decor that's culturally consistent with the fabulous setting. One nice surprise that I don't see mentioned in other reviews was the closet full of beach gear, including chairs, boogie boards, umbrella, and snorkel gear. We absolutely loved our 11-night stay there and would return in a heartbeat. Besides being clean enough to pass the white-glove test, and the thoughtful basket of goodies provided on arrival, the owner/property manager was also very responsive, quickly attending to a minor maintenance issue we identified. I would agree, though, that a little updating might be in order. The two TVs are probably 20 years old. That said, why watch TV when you're in Hawaii anyway!"

  • The perfect rental!

"This rental surpassed our expectations. This condo is spacious and the owners have made it more welcoming by their furnishings and attention to detail. They provide everything you might need for your stay. The location is great. It is an easy walk to the beach, and a shirt drive to the petroglyphs on the site. No need to go far for excellent restaurants, so you can spend the day swimming or snorkeling and not worry about getting dinner. The well equipped kitchen and outdoor gas fired bbq is there if needed. We just used it to make breakfast daily. The only negative is that parking can be tricky and often there were no spot in front. However, there were always places relatively close. One of the best rentals in all of our travels!"
