  • Mauni Lani Terrace H103

"Mauni Lani Resort area is awesome. The serenity of this location can't be beat. The condo is not right on the beach, however, it is an ocean view, and the entire property is lovely to walk around. The "beach club" beach is 5 minutes away and with the access card this condo provides, you can utilize all the lounge chairs on this public beach. H103 is a beautiful ground floor unit that is steps from the pool. It has a northwest view from the living and dining area. There is a new sectional couch which is very comfortable and faces directly out to the fantastic view. The king bed is very comfortable and has new pillows. Other than bar soap, there are a lot of toiletries provided, including shampoo and body wash. The kitchen and master bath shower could use an update, but was functional and clean. Being on a ground floor is great for kids, but does not provide much privacy when people are walking by, especially in the master bedroom. We had to keep the shutters closed most of the time, which made the room dark. When we arrived we were greeted with a large cockroach and ants all around the sink. We should have called the property manager the first day, as we struggled with these pests all week. They would have come in to spray if we had only asked on our first day. Instead we left all our food in the refrigerator. The wifi is not very strong and constantly cut in and out. The router and wires are just lying on the floor next to the couch. They should be properly installed to avoid getting damaged. This condo is great for kids to run in and out, but I personally would stay a floor or two up for more privacy."

  • Great condo

"We really enjoyed our stay in the condo. The kitchen is very nice and the laundry is handy. We had a convertible and the garage was nice to be able to pull in and leave the top down. There are some great restaurants in the area and great beaches close. Kona is only 30 min away and makes Costco is great for getting food and gas. Beautiful golf courses at the resort. We would stay there again for sure."

"My husband and I just returned from a 2 week stay at Jan Gilman's fantastic condo! We knew the minute we opened the door that we had selected an amazing property. Beautifully furnished without being fussy. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could possibly need. I so appreciated the quality of everything from the knives to cookware to dinnerware. We could truly relax and gladly ate in whenever we felt like it. The grounds surrounding the condo are beautifully kept. We used the pool a few times- a great experience with only a few people there. The location of the condo was great for us as we explored the northern end of the island. It was hard to leave but we're hoping that we can return someday. Jan's condo has certainly spoiled us for any other rentals we do in the future."

  • Outstanding Big Island Home

"Roger's villa on the Big Island is nothing short of outstanding! Our family of four (two adults, to young kids), spent a week in this beautiful villa (late Jul 2016), and we couldn't have been any happier. I don't think I can expand much on the numerous highly positive reviews you'll find here, so I'll condense my impressions as follows: 1) The first thing you notice about Roger's villa is how CLEAN is is. I mean, it's like nobody has ever been there since the place was built. My wife and I are clean freaks, and we were blown away. There is not a speck of dust nor a hint of dirt anywhere. Amazing! 2) This is really a **3 bedroom** disguised as a 2 bedroom. Yes, the third bedroom is a loft with a hideaway bed, but it's spacious and very comfortable. My 5-year-old boy had the time of his life in the loft. Honestly, this unit could easily accommodate three couples or a large family... understanding that the loft will be exposed to noise from those who stay up late or rise early. 3) This is obviously a second home for Roger and his family, and it shows. I can't find an expense that's been spared anywhere. The grill on the lanai? Better than anything I've ever cooked with. The dishwasher? Obviously new... and top of the line. The living room furniture? High quality and super comfortable. The beds? Not cheap! And we had a great night's sleep throughout our stay. 4) Access to The Beach Club is OUTSTANDING. A GREAT beach experience, and probably the best snorkeling we experienced on the island."
