  • A wonderful place to stay at Mauna Lani

"This was our first extended stay at Mauna Lani, and we consider ourselves very fortunate to have found Linda Kelly's lovely condo through VRBO. It fit our needs perfectly. The condo was nicely furnished; the kitchen was stocked with all the necessary cooking utensils, dinnerware, and barware as well as appliances like a rice cooker and an espresso maker; and the patio was the setting for many meals and card games. The kitchen was even stocked with a large variety of spices and condiments, and cooking basics like olive oil. The view is of the 4th fairway of the Mauna Lani North course, but it is filtered by many trees which afford a good deal of privacy. The Fairways complex (which is beautifully landscaped) has the nicest pool in all of Mauna Lani, and I made good use of the air-conditioned gym. Linda was very welcoming and very responsive when we had an issue connecting to the internet (quickly corrected). She even brought lemons and tomatoes one day. In short, we enjoyed our visit and are planning to spend many winters to come at Mauna Lani."

  • Amazing Opportunity

"The owners and property managers of this home are outstanding. I rented this home 3 years ago and then again this year. It's in as good or better condition now than it was then so it is well maintained. It's 5 star for sure and they care about everything being perfect for your stay. It's an amazing home for groups with four full suites and lots of amenities including pool and other common areas. We spent more time just enjoying the home this time than last time because it was as if we had our own private resort. The kitchen and other rooms of the home are well appointed with anything you could need for just staying there and enjoying it. We were there 10 days and were sad to leave. A few things are within walking distance if you don't mind a short walk, but generally speaking you'll need a car. It's an extremely good value and way better than any hotel stay unless you need daily maid service and someone to prepare your food. I plan on coming back again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property."

  • Wonderful family time!

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was perfect for us! The complex is beautiful and very quiet. We enjoyed every minute of our vacation. We only wished we could have stayed longer. The only complain I can make is that the garage door opener didn't work. I'm sure it was a battery issue. Thank you for such a great place to stay!"

  • Your home away from home

"This condo was the perfect spot to spend our second visit to the big island. (We had experienced Kona & area in 2002 by cruise ship only). Loved the great location & the quiet resort. It was perfect being directly across the road from the pool & hot tub & BBQ. We enjoyed our breakfast & lunches on the lanai watching the golfers tee off. Also the geckos were quite entertaining running up & down the palm tree & the colourful birds that frequented the area. The Beach Club is only minutes away in a beautiful little bay & perfect for snorkelling, swimming & tanning. The condo was very roomy & well equipped with everything. Although we bought our major groceries in Kona at Costco & Walt-Mart, we found reasonable prices at Foodland Farms at the Shops at Mauna Lani. The best selection & prices for fruit was the Waikoloa Village Market. It was also was well stocked with Grocery & Pharmacy items & souvenirs. There was other shopping close by at the Waikoloa Beach Resort in the Queen's Marketplace & found the Island Gourmet Market to have a great selection of almost everything. This condo was a great base to go out on day trips sightseeing. We left after 2 weeks with many more sites to visit & hope to return before long to continue exploring this amazing island. Thank you John & Helen for sharing your beautiful home away from home with us."
