  • Great place with perks and amazing property management

"We stayed at Mauna Lani golf resort villas before and this time was a different experience. I hope the owners of this villa read this because E4 (property 507335) is being well run by Burt and Kai. They work for Hawaii Luxury Real Estate and are worth their weight in gold. The property was in excellent condition and very clean/well maintained. We dealt with Burt and no matter how small of a question we had, he was always there. He met us at the property upon arrival and did a walk through with us. This personal touch is always appreciated instead of just leaving the keys with directions. Our flight came in early and they made it easy for us to check in a bit early and didn't make us feel like we were intruding. The property has a GEM cart that comes with it and is very convenient to take to the beach and the nearby shopping center. The location is great. It's a little more laid back than being in Kona. The added benefit with these guys is that you get to work with a concierge free of charge. Wendy Riedel, the concierge, was extremely helpful. Not only did she book us a great rate with Blue Hawaiian, she also gave us suggestions on what to do on our way to Hilo (must sees). She nailed it. It was one of our better days on the island. We will be booking with them again!"

  • Very Nice Stay at this Mauna Lani Villa on Big Island

"This is a very good place to stay on Big Island. Very nice and clean place with 3 bedrooms, 2 and half bath, kitchen/Dinning and living room.Additionally complex has great swimming pool, well equipped Gym, many shops near by and Foodland (Voted best super market chain in Hawaii) for Grocery and food items. Mauna Lani has nice white sand private beach and black sand public beach with nearby Golf club. Kona Airport is near by and at about 30 miles from this place you get all the shops and city glitz you want from Kona coast on Big Island. Mauna Lani shops have free Hawaiian Dance event at 7 PM on every Monday and Thursday, its great dance show twice a week.We found once issue that Master bedroom does not lock but other than that everything is perfect, over all great place."

  • A great Mauna Lani value

"If you have not been to Hawaii before let me say we have visited all the islands, even Moloka’i, and the Big Island has it all. The best beaches are found here and the list of things to do are complete. Please do the research. Don’t go to Oahu, Honolulu is big, crowded and tattered. We have visited both Mauna Lani and Waikoloa at least 15 times over the last 20 years so I have more than a little expertise in the many vacation condos available. We found this condo very well maintained with comfortable furniture, very clean, a well-equipped kitchen and very tastefully appointed. When we arrived the owners brother, Tony, was there to make sure everything was in order where he fixed a few items we found out of order. The location is one of the best in the resort, a corner unit a few steps from the pool and open space for the kids to explore. The pool is good by Mauna Lani standards; large with a kidde pool and a hot tub. If you are visiting as two couples the bedrooms are at separate levels which is nice for privacy. The upstairs BD suite is very nice and comfortable with a private lani. We like it to sit there at 2am and enjoy the night. We BBQ’ed quite a bit and found the appliance easy to use and of solid quality. Tony showed us how to start it. A surprise: the garage in not useful to park a car. BUT it contains beach items galore. Chairs, snorkel equipment, noodles, coolers just for starters. You need not rent or buy anything. A hint: Many owners have installed air conditioning controls that cannot be set below 75 degrees. On humid days after a day in the sun this feels too warm. This unit allows any setting you wish for your comfort. Electricity costs in Hawaii are 2 ½ times what they are in North America so it’s good to shut the AC back when you leave. While this resort is not in the ‘luxury’ class it is a great value for those on a budget. I recommend a few updates to the owner. The TV needs replacement, and there should be chaise lounge chairs on both the up and down lanais."
