  • Great property!

"This is a great property and it is well stocked with everything you need to feel at home. Plenty of hardware for cooking/baking and dishes for eating. The pool and the beach club access are really nice. The gem car is a handy and fun way to get around as well. To top it off, Kai and Burt were very helpful and made us feel very welcome. Don't hesitate - this is a great place to stay!"

  • Nice condo in lovely area of the Big Island.

"This is a newer area of the Mauna Lani development. This home is impressively decorated, lots of art, sculpture etc. The lanai is comfortable and relaxing with a great view of the mountains. We found all the kitchenware we needed. One thing to note is that the flooring is ALL tiled - which could be a concern if you have little ones along - esp. the staircase - the tile floors with no area rugs makes it a bit noisy too. The pool is right around the corner - easy walking - and was a great spot for all ages - large wading and swim area, hot tub, lovely landscaping and plenty of chairs and lounges. The beach club here really is one of the nicest spots around - be sure to check it out - clean bathrooms, easy parking - bar and restaurant - also free water at the bar from beverage dispenser is handy. Very protected cove for swimming - usually lifeguard here as well. To sum up - we chose this as we had 6 adults and two small children - we all had a bed and each family had a bathroom - it worked for us - location was great, pool and beach were wonderful."

  • Beautiful private neighborhood with great views, amazing property

"Upon arrival at Island Melody Villa, we were very impressed. In an exclusive gated neighborhood in Mauna Lani, the property is located towards the back of the complex. It is very quiet and serene and the grounds were exceptionally maintained. The property itself was spacious and well-appointed. Plenty of serving items in the kitchen as well as books, games and movies! All the items needed to host our group of 10 were there. The pictures posted in the listing are very accurate. The three bedroom suites had comfortable beds with high quality linens and extra blankets. The bathrooms were very nice as well. A few hiccups during our stay included some extra unwanted guests in the form of ants and a cockroach- but no big deal. To be expected on an island and dealt with by a can of Raid found in a cabinet in the laundry room. The refrigerator wasn't working too well, and within an hour the owner Jeff was over taking a look. He brought ice and offered to reimburse us for any we bought. He promptly called the repairman to come and fix, and even offered to provide a spare refrigerator! Totally unnecessary as we had a cooler and the ice was sufficient. The surrey bike that was available for use was super fun. We kept it for 3 of the days we were there, oops! The pool at the complex was gorgeous, complete with a lava rock waterfall and grotto. Our boys loved it! We took advantage of the poolside grill and kitchen and made lunch there one day. Also, it must have been a slow part of the year, but every time we went to the pool (daily!) there was no one there! It was like having the resort to ourselves! The hot tub, however, was waaay too hot to even put our feet in! It said 104 was the max, but I'm a hot shower taker and that was even too hot for me! Great property overall and fantastic, easy to deal with owners! We'll likely visit the other islands in the future, but would absolutely recommend this property to anyone coming to the Big Island. Aloha and mahalo for everything!"
