Great Big Island town home
"The location combined with the beach access was perfect for us. The townhouse is close to a variety of activities, from daily snorkeling to manta Rey and horse riding.
The house itself is even better looking than the pictures, very comfortable and well equipped. Space was more than enough for 4 adults and 3 teens.
Lastly, Christian, the local Evolve contact was extremely helpful with any questions we had and for the last 3 of us very accommodating with a late departure. It may seem a small thing but an extra day at the beach for us counted as full vacation day. Thank you Christian, very much appreciated! We will definitely consider using them next time in Hawaii!"

"Gorgeous new home tastefully decorated complete with first class appliances, soft towels, spices and even the shampoo and soap. Nice snorkeling gear and bicycles (need air in tires). We ate at the lanai table without bug problems. Surf, much heavier than usual, made the major beaches very difficult to approach but the two little beaches (Beach Club and Orchid Resort) were so protected that toddlers could swim. The nice surprise was the coral just outside this tiny easy entry beach teeming with reef fish... Snorkeling equal or better than any I've seen in all the islands. Residents with key cards (us) can park within 150 yards.
The free show at the little plaza was surprisingly good...professional as most luau shows
The Foodland should be used only for emergencies. Drive 5 miles east to Waikaloa Village or stock up in Kailua. Costco has the best fresh fish plus great prices. Safeway is OK."

"We have been visiting Mauna Lani as a family for 25 years, always staying at the hotel. This year we had our two adult children each bring a few friends and decided to rent this property, and it was absolutely the right decision. The owner Kim made everything easy for us, and the on-site managers Judy and Ken made sure that you had everything that you needed. Let me stress that I mean everything - beach towels, sunscreen, bicycles, all household necessities - the only things you had to provide were food and beverage. Add in state-of-the-art television with a seemingly endless library of movies and there is something for everyone to do, even when the sun doesn't shine.
But then, the sun is always out and the pool and golf course/mountain views are spectacular. As a quick heads-up, we chose to stock the house with food and snacks from Costco near the airport, but quickly found that the food and beverage prices at the Foodland at the Mauna Lani were very competitive which makes things even easier.
Mahalo to Kim and everyone who made this a dream vacation!"
