  • Hale Pele is perfect for vacationing

"Kat and Derry's place was perfect for our family vacation. The house was comfortable and roomy. The kitchen was well-stocked and easy to cook in. It was so nice to have cooking utensils, a blender, and ziploc bags! The AC and fans were quiet, and the little touches were really nice: new sponge, Kleenex boxes, snorkel gear, sand toys, extra pillows, beach towels, etc. The location was great - not too busy but close enough to Kona for a short drive. The pools in the complex were lovely in the daytime or evening. The extra parking space and nearby shops were handy. We'd definitely stay here again!"

  • Great condo and wonderful owners!

"We had the pleasure of staying at this well equipped condo for 10 days recently. It was our second trip to the Big Island and second time staying in Waikoloa Beach Resort. We stayed at a different condo last trip, which cost us more and wasn't clean upon arrival. However, our experience with Sandra's condo was excellent. From the initial contact through to our return home. The unit is well stocked with everything a group could want and included beach stuff like chairs, coolers, umbrellas, boogie boards, etc. There were 4 adults in the unit and plenty of space for us all. Mind you, we were out and about a lot enjoying everything the Big Island offers. I wouldn't hesitate to rent this unit again or deal with Sandra. She was excellent and provided us with some great local information on beaches (Kua was amazing) and restaurants (loved Umekes). Thanks for everything Sandra and helping us have a great time in Hawaii March 2017"

  • Winter vacation in Hawaii

"We have rented units at Colony Villas for the last 5-6 years and love the location. The weather is almost always perfect and the area is beautiful. The unit could use some sprucing up, the carpeting is pretty warn, the walls could be repainted, the kitchen supplies (silverware, plates, etc.) could be improved, However, the unit is very much worth the rental cost our stay was very comfortable. We are renting the same unit again next year. Thanks for a great experience."

  • Exceeded Expectations

"We loved everything about this house. Here is what pops into mind right away. 1) Location - one of the best within the community - it felt quite private, but was also just across from the pool - and also easy access to beaches/amenities a bit further out. 2) I loved watching both sunrise (peaking over a volcano) and sunset (across the golf course, over the palm trees) from the upstairs lanai. 3) It's obvious the owners spend time there, because the condo is so well cared for, everything is high-quality, and it has everything you could possibly need for a vacation. But it also didn't feel like we were intruding on someone's home. It was the perfect balance. 4) It was great for me as an adult, but also for my family. My toddler could chose to sleep in a crib, pack n play, twin bed, or a king bed; there were child locks on all the appliances; plenty of beach toys for the week; and more. Gordon and Denise get our highest recommendation."
