  • Kona Marathon

"This was a fantastic place to stay! We chose this location because it was within walking distance of the start and finish of the Kona Marathon. We were so happy to be there. It felt like it was home to us, everything we needed was available, they even had beach equipment. It was easy to walk to get groceries, go to the beach, and to go out for meals. We had a couple of questions while we were there and had speedy responses from the owners. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!"

  • Best place to stay in waikoloa beach

"Beautiful and spacious with lots of extra amenities. This condo was high class with a feel of home. You could cook in this kitchen but the restaurant/bar at the pool is the best place to be. The staff at this place are friendly and professional. I would recommend it to anyone."

  • Perfect Location for Hawaii Vacation

"This is a well maintained condo in a very convenient location. The unit is private and only steps from the pool. The upper balcony off the master bedroom is equipped with 2 very comfortable chaise lounges - loved this! The kitchen was the best equipped we've ever had in a vacation property. This was our first trip to the Big Island and we certainly lucked out finding this property. We were 4 adults and 3 pre-teen children and never felt crowded - lots of room for everyone to have their own space. Sherry was a delight and so very helpful. The property is exactly as pictured. All the beach toys you could wish for are to be found in the private garage, another nice feature. It's only minutes to walk to the Queens Marketplace where you can find all your daily necessities (including Starbucks). There is a beach quite close by (be sure to visit the LavaLava Club on this beach), however our favourite beaches were Hapuna and Mauna Kea - they go forever with clean white sand and warm blue water. Saw several turtles swimming by. We would certainly stay here again. Mahalo J. Marshall, Okotoks, Alberta"

  • Wonderful!

"5 stars, for sure! This condo was perfect for us so many ways. First of all, it's location in Kolea was great. It was a short walk to the pool/ocean which was key. If you wanted to go back for lunch, no problem. If you forgot something in the unit, no problem. It probably took three minutes to get there from the pool. And, being that it was a top level, corner unit, it was also very quiet and also had a partial ocean view. I loved being able to check out the ocean each morning to see what the surf was doing! In addition, the unit itself is just plain NICE! The finishes, appliances, decor...was all top-of-the line and very well kept. The bedrooms and bathrooms were large and there was plenty of room for clothes storage, etc. They also had everything you might think you need - beach towels, hair dryer, storage containers, portable coffee/cocktail containers, Ziplocs, a washer and dryer...the list goes on. You will feel right at home! The wifi worked perfect and parking was easy as well. Having a designated spot assured no trouble finding spot and it was close to the building entrance. Plus, there was room for guests. In my opinion, cooking dinner in was just as fun as going out! Having a great grill on the lanai, lanai view and comfortable seating provided memorable nights for both of us. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. In fact, I wish I had stayed longer and hated to leave! And, I honestly wouldn't stay anywhere else in Waikoloa. Kolea offers the best beach access and wonderful amenities. Although, if you are a gym freak, one thing to note about their gym - their open air gym only has 4 cardio machines. If you want to lift weights, you can purchase a $10 day pass (if you show your Kolea beach access card) to the Hilton's gym which you can walk/run to along the ocean! So, really, no big deal, but just thought I would add that. I had great interaction with the owners. They are extremely responsive and helpful. I would most definitely rent this unit again. And, it's only worth of 5 stars (in my opinion!)! Thanks so much, Kim, for an amazing stay."
