  • A wonderful place - stay there if you can.

"We two couples stayed here for a week and loved the place! Fully equipped kitchen, very very comfortable beds, plenty of room, great tv's, and located near restaurants, food stores, shopping centers and the beach. We'd recommend this place for anyone who likes convenience, comfort and a beautiful setting in the house and out. The rental agent was responsive, professional and made sure everything was perfect. Contacted us in a very timely fashion with instructions to get into the complex and our unit and made sure everything was perfect. Loved it!"

  • Return trip

"This was our second vacation at Hula Moon and it was as wonderful as the first. There were even some upgrades since our last trip. After a rigorous set of flights to Kona, we both said the same thing as we walked in the door - "We're home". That is about the highest compliment you can give to Hula Moon. It feels like home. Kim provides everything you need to enjoy your time in Paradise. All of the amenities are top notch. The kitchen is well appointed and supplied. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms also well appointed even with a starter pack of supplies. We used many of the "toys" supplied like the boogie boards, and beach chairs. A daily morning swim in the pool was great as was the nightly walk to A-Bay beach for sunset. We enjoyed snorkeling at A-Bay but the water was a bit cloudy, we also snorkeled at Beach 69 and at Mauna Lani which was outstanding. The trade winds made golf a challenge but we pretty much had the Kings Course to ourselves, a real private country club. For groceries we found the ABC store at Queens Marketplace had the best veggies, Safeway in Kona (get a Safeway member discount card) for general stuff and the KTA store in Waikoloa Village for seafood and poke. To top off the whole trip, the whales put on a daily show. We watched from A-Bay or the Hilton many afternoons but also went up to Kawaihae at Pu'ukohala Heiau National Historic site (free) to whale watch. Kim is great to work with and she checked up on us a couple of times during our long stay. Hula Moon is so convenient to everything you may need within walking distance. We ate most meals at "home" and used the grill extensively but had special dinners at KPC in the Hilton and Merriman's at Waimea. Mahalo Kim, can hardly wait to return."

  • A great place to stay in Waikoloa

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed our stay here. The condo was spacious and nicely appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed (we cooked most nights), and the washing machine & drier were well used! It also had some board games, pool toys and boogie boards available to use which was great for our children. Plus some good books on the area which came in handy for site seeing. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, or recommend to others."

  • The best VRBO property I've ever stayed at

"The condo is new, well kept, clean, incredibly spacious, and luxurious. The kitchen is so well equipped that one could make dinner for guests. The lanai is huge. The furniture is as good as new, clean, and comfortable. The whole condominium complex is spotless, with manicured lawns and plants. A plus for me is that the property is within walking distance of the Hilton Waikoloa Village, where I was attending a conference for part of my stay, which was for a week. Beaches and shopping malls are within easy reach. This would be my top choice for staying on my next trip to the Big Island."
