  • Awesome!

"First of all, this condo is beautiful and huge in a nice and quiet area. We had 5 people in the condo (3 adults, 2 children) and there was plenty of room. Decorated very tastefully and really made you feel like you are in Hawaii. The pool at the condo was perfect for the adults as well as the great shallow end for my young children. Most of the week, we had the pool to ourselves which was awesome. Our favorite part of the trip was relaxing at the beach (and seeing turtles) which this condo is very close to. There are a couple of great beaches with pretty calm waters close to this condo (3-10 min depending on which beach you go to). The condo was stocked with great beach gear that was really high end quality . We had an excellent time on this trip and highly recommend this condo rental. We have been to different areas/islands of Hawaii in the past and this is one of our most favorite trips so far. Mahalo!"

  • Beautiful Condo

"Upon arrival we were impressed with how beautiful the condo was, and the spacious lanai. One of our favorite routines was to do was to drink our freshly ground coffee on the lanai in the mornings. The condo more than met our expectations and had a lot of special touches that made our experience even more enjoyable. And making ourselves "at home" was extremely easy because Maria really has thought of everything to make that happen. We used the beach towels, as well as the cooler, and having the ice maker, as well as the ice packs, was great! My husband and I would gladly stay at Maria's condo in our future travels to the Big Island."

  • Great Christmas in Hawaii

"My wife, two children (11 and 14), and I stayed in Unit 23D for 8 days over Christmas. This was an excellent condo for our stay. We had everything we needed in the condo. The pictures do not do it justice. The owner was great in giving us detailed instructions and making check-in easy. The condo was well stocked with what we needed during the stay. We at many meals on the lanai. The location is great. It was very quiet even over the Christmas holiday. I was a little worried that it would be too far from the pool. However, it worked out perfectly. It is a short 5 minute walk. We went to the pool every night. The pool and the views are simply amazing. We could see whales in the ocean from the pool. The restaurant/bar and the people who worked there were awesome. The location of the condo is very close to shopping and a great grocery store. It is also very close to great beaches. The A-Bay beach is right up the road (about a 5 minute drive) with a lot of parking. Hapuna Beach is also a short drive and I would highly recommend this beach, especially for boogie boarding. I would recommend being there by 10 or 11 for the best parking. It is worth the short trip. There are also many great hikes and snorkeling in the area. I would highly recommend this condo. Thank you for a great vacation."

  • Nice unit and good value but arguably best suited to older couples

"Overall this is a nice place provided you are looking for a quiet condo and have tempered expectations of the local beach and pool. Pros: - Overall quality of unit and complex (best in area?) - Well equipped with several kitchen basics and beach stuff - Spacious; great for sharing with another couple - Local paths / trails are cool - Quiet Cons: - Retirement community vibe - Beach within walking distance (A-bay) is a disappointment - Nice pool area but not heated (cold!) and lots of rules (no toys, etc) - Couch is in dire need of replacement - Management company is nice and polite but behind the times with online booking (fax/mail) - Local shopping areas areas (King/Queens shops) have buzz-kill elements like a Macy's and Macaroni Grill - Quiet We had a small maintenance issue that the manager attempted to remedy immediately. The floor is really dirty - probably from folks not taking off their shoes and tracking street grime on to the tile floor. We are strict shoes-off folks so after seeing black soles after 30 minutes I called to request a cleaning. They promptly came and re-washed but is didn't really help. I didn't push it. Overall the place is in nice condition but the floor needs some help. I suppose it is hard with a rental... The complex is really nice but it was hard with a 4 year old - A-bay is a drag, cold pool, no pool toys permitted. All in, it is probably about the best you'll do in the Kohala area but it isn't a great family set up if you are comparing vs a resort."
