  • Great location, clean and condo has everything you need

"My family stayed here with 4 kids. The condo had everything they needed for cooking in or playing at the beach. They enjoyed the pools of which there are two. The lawn area off the lanai was perfect for them to run and play. The condo was clean and nicely decorated. Definitely would recommend. The owners were great to work with as well."

  • Great Location, Great Island for family with two teenage sons

"This was my family's first trip to be Big Island and our first time renting a condo and using VRBO. We had a wonderful time and loved how the condo provided such ease of use for everything. It was so convenient to load the car with the provided beach gear (chairs, toys, boogie boards, ice chests) and head to the beach. We also used the provided bikes to ride over to the nearby shopping areas. We also found the location convenient for driving to other areas of the Island. We were there 8 nights and spent quite a bit of time finding adventure across the Island. Snorkeling, surfing, golf, helicopter rides, volcanoes, cliff jumping, sea turtles, mongooses, and fresh fruit markets were all a short and un-crowded drive away. We also found a free luau type show they perform every Monday evening at The Shops of Mauna Lani which is only a short 5 minute drive. My wife and I were able to enjoy the entire top floor while our two teenage sons were very content with the first floor. We really enjoyed opening the patio doors to listen to the birds early in the morning and found everything peaceful and relaxing."

  • Location, Quiet, Comfortable

"My husband and I came to the big island to attend a wedding and have a vacation. We stayed 9 nights and would have stayed longer if we could. This condo was an excellent place to stay. Very close to Kings & Queen shops, Lava Lava Beach club, Tropics Ale house all of which you can walk to if it isn't too hot. A short drive takes you to beautiful Hapuna Beach and other beautiful beaches in the area. Condo has well equipped kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals (we only cooked breakfast there). Loved having the cooler for trips to the beach and the beach chairs and towels were great. Bed is comfortable as well as living room furniture (I fell asleep in the chair one evening). Loved using the overhead fans as well as the air conditioner when needed to keep the place cool. Lanai would have been used more often but it was just too hot when we were there. We did enjoy it in the evening to watch the sunset. We were amazed at how peaceful and quiet it is at The Shores. Simon is great to work with and very responsive. If we come back to the Big Island we would stay here again."

  • Great place for large ohana

"We had a great family trip while staying at this lovely condo. Our group included 5 adults and a toddler. We were able to stay for 9 days in paradise in early July 2016. Upon entering the condo we were blown away by the floor plan and the updated amenities that were provided. The master bedroom/bathroom is huge and the bed was very comfy. We had the two twins converted into a king, which was spacious, and the queen room was nice. The condo was very clean and neat. They also provide a great assortment of items in the kitchen and a ton of things to use at the beach. Air conditioning worked great. We ate almost every meal on the patio which had 6 chairs. When traveling with a toddler we thought that it was great that they had a pack-n-play that we could use, a baby gate for the stairs, and a chair that a toddler can use (not a high chair, but a seat with a tray that you can put onto a chair. The only issue that our toddler ran into was that the living room is down two steps from the kitchen area, which could provide a falling hazard, but mitigated through a few lessons on going up and down stairs. Located right next to the pool, which is hardly used (large pool and an attached baby pool). Also by the pool are two gas BBQ's that are open for use. We never had a problem snagging one. New washer and dryer were great and were a great help since this reduced the number of clothes that we had to bring (thus reducing baggage charges). The unit has one assigned parking spot and if you have another vehicle (like we did) you have to park in a non reserved spot. We had no problem at all finding a spot. Close to A' Beach (would drive there definitely, long walk). Also close to the Hilton, but not the most stroller friendly location. Owner was very prompt in answering our questions and provided us with lots of information on places to go and eat on the island. Booking process was painless and easy to do. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a well priced condo to meet the needs of a large family."
