  • Awesome Villa on the Big Island

"We’ve stayed in about 5 properties through VRBO, and this was the nicest one we’ve ever stayed at. It is very modern, beautifully decorated, well maintained and very clean. It has every amenity you could ask for. Located on a golf course, it was relaxing just firing up the grill, sitting on the lanai, and watching the golfers go by. The villa is in a very nice gated community with two pools and hot tubs, as well as a fitness room. There are several shopping areas within a short walk or drive, with a number of restaurants included. It’s also a short drive to a public beach, or you can walk to it in about 10 minutes. Amy was great to work with, and really made our trip a lot easier with all the information she provided."

  • Wonderful stay at the Halii Kai

"This is a wonderful condo at the Halii Kai located in Waikoloa Beach resort area, next door to the Hilton. The condo unit has nice furnishings and was very clean upon arrival. The kitchen is stocked well including toaster, coffee maker, blender and good pots and pans, including non stick pans. There is no bbq on the lanai, but the communal bbqs (Jenn-Air) are located a few steps away from the lanai (including a comfy hammock). The unit does with 5 tommy bahama beach chairs, beach umbrellas, pool noodles, 4 boogie boards, beach towels, beach mats, coolers, snorkel gear and sand toys. There were also tennis rackets available as well. Adriana from the property management company was very easy to book with and prompt in responding to questions. This unit is located in building 21 which is closer to the front gate. It's about a 10 minute walk to the ocean club (which you will need to pay a mandatory resort fee) or a quick 1 min drive. The ocean club is very nice and relaxing with ocean views. Lots of pool chairs, a fitness centre and a bar to enjoy maitais and kona beer. Happy hour is fabulous at the pool club. This unit is located in the Waikoloa beach resort area, close to amenities (i.e. grocery/shopping/restaurants). About 15 mins drive to Hapuna and Mauna Kea Beach. I would recommend this unit, it is very comfortable and relaxing."

  • Waikoloa Colony Villas 1306 Review

"Excellent two-bedroom townhouse. Booking the place was fast and easy, with excellent communication from Heidi Bogart (property manager). There were a few glitches, but were easily resolved by Heidi. We especially liked the full-sized washer/dryer (not the small stack-up models common in other places), french-door refrigerator and upgraded cable TV system, including Showtime. The facility was well-organized, clean and had no evidence of bugs. The location of the facility was great, as we spent most of the time golfing in Waikoloa, Mauna Lani, Kona and Waimea - with an occasional trip on Saddle Road to Hilo. (Our son needed to get a loco moco fix at Cafe 100 and Zippys.) We frequently come back to the Big Island for family vacations and will definitely like to come back to this condo."

  • So happy we stayed here

"We enjoyed the Waikoloa Colony Villa for two weeks (Jan-Feb) and can highly recommend it to families (ours included grandparents, kids and grandkids, 8 and 11 years). This is a gated, secure, super quiet, friendly neighbourhood with sunny, breezy days, and cool nights. It is ideally located north of Kailua Kona traffic and VOG, a central hub for excursions to all parts of the Big Island. We planned many day trips to Volcano, Hilo, Hawi and Kona, with alternate days relaxing on the A Bay beach, swimming, snorkelling, turtle and whale-watching. There are beach toys, umbrella and chairs for 5, and of course, the surprisingly cool pool for refreshing dips after the day's activities. We also enjoyed the local Queens Marketplace with special events, such as Asian Fest, the charming Hula performance on Monday, Island Gourmet for small supplies of toilet paper and drinks, Ocean Sports for whale watch and beach toys, the Crocs store for beach shoes. The villa itself is a perfect two storey layout: upstairs you have 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (the Master bathroom is huge!) with an extra large laundry pair; downstairs is a comfortable living and dining area, large kitchen with ample pots, knives, tools and tableware for meals "at home". We found a generous supply of soap, shampoo, tissues, bath and beach towels, as well as left-behind food items, including condiments, sauces and salad dressings, bottled water, coffee, etc. but no bugs! If you've been to the tropics you know how unusual that is! Cindy's very personal attention to customer service is also outstanding. She provided us with pre-visit tips on things to do, places to eat, etc., and easy to follow directions, house rules and instructions. She also made contact with us during the visit to make sure we were happy with everything and responded promptly when we had a question about using the AC. We travel to Hawaii every winter and stay in rental condos but we rarely feel so welcome! Thank you Cindy for sharing your lovely home in paradise."
