  • As advertised Waikoloa condo

"We stayed over Christmas 2017. Family of four (two teenage girls). The good - lots of space. The condo is very large so tons of space for everyone. - decent location. Not on the beach of course, but a short walk to A-Bay. Across the street from the Hilton as well, which is well worth a wander through - beach gear. Boogie boards, snorkeling equipment, etc. are in the condo. Some of its looking pretty old, but a definite plus to have it at all - Kitchen is well stocked with appliances, cutlery, etc. - Not crowded. We expected it to be crazy over Christmas, however it was anything but. Several times we were the only ones at the pool - which is a bit on the small side, but pleasant enough and well maintained - Excellent communication. Bob was easy to work with. Answered promptly and was genuinely helpful The bad - The road. It is right underneath you, albeit the building is somewhat above it on a slope. If you spend any time on the lanai, or keep your windows open, you will hear road noise constantly. - Dated. Pretty much everything feels long in the tooth. Bathrooms, appliances, furniture. It feels very much like a rental, if that makes sense - Little things. Several dead lightbulbs, missing batteries in remotes, a few dirty dishes in cupboards (due to the old dishwasher I suspect... see above). Nothing serious, but enough to mention We love the big island and will likely return there. As to this place... if I recommended it, it would be based on price point and size. My biggest caution would be the road - if you want to spend any time on the lanai it will be probably be an annoyance. For us, we'll probably pony up for something on the beach next time."

  • A warm, homey setting. Truly "a home away from home".

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your condo. Truly "a home away from home." The condo was very roomy and relaxing. It became the meeting place for the rest of our family who were also visiting the area. Pool and hot tub were very close to this condo along with the golf course and beautiful walking paths. Grounds were immaculate. All the amenities - from tissue to salt and pepper were provided. The resource book was excellent with instructions provided for operating all appliances - from washing machine to blender. We were very comfortable and would highly recommend your condo to anyone visiting the Big Island. Thank you for making our visit such a wonderful one."

  • Adventure in Paradise

"Thank you Amanda. We loved our stay. Everything was as posted: beautiful view, clean, roomy and comfortable, all appliances operational, nicely stocked to get you started. This was a great spot for us to tour the island. We alternated driving and beach days, ending each evening with a swim in the heated pool. Well mostly the parents were in the hot tub and our daughter was in the pool. We really appreciated the beach gear (chairs, umbrella, coolers, boogie boards, one set of adult fins), that we kept in the trunk of the car, ready for each day's activities. There was more gear, but that's what we used. Day 1 - Pick up Rental Car. Shop at Costco. Pick up smaller items at the grocery store in Waikoloa Village. Day 2 - Rainbow coast (hiking in the Waipio, Laupahoehoe shore line and park, Akaka Falls, Rainbow Falls, Hilo Farmers Market) Day 3 - Hapuna Beach (boogie boarding, whale watching, snorkelling, frisbee, and shoreline hike on ALA KAHAKAI TRAIL) Day 4 - Volcanoes National Park (3 hour Kīlauea Iki Crater hike, Rim Road drive & sites, Chain of Craters Road & sites) Day 5 - Hapuna Beach (beach and hike to Mauna Kea Beach on ALA KAHAKAI TRAIL) and Mauna Kea Summit ( we went to the visitors center, climbed to the top of the pu'u, stayed for some star gazing presentation time - be prepared for cold weather and spectacular sites) Day 6 - Kahaluu Beach Park(awesome snorkelling [note, the beach is shelly & crowded, but still well worth the visit], wanted to surf but there wasn't enough of a wake) Day 7 - Kua Bay (snorkelled with a pod of spinner dolphins, boogie boarded, read, watched whales) Day 8 - Hapuna Beach & Pool Side Time (boogie boarded) Mahalo, Amanda. You helped us make family memories of a life time."

  • Perfect!

"Our stay at the Villa was absolutely perfect. This vacation home will wow you in all levels. It's very spacious and extremely clean. The beautiful decoration gives a homey e energy and will make you feel at home as soon as you walk in. It's conveniently located right across front of the pool area, which is gorgeous. This was a plus, since we were traveling with kids. The view from the back porch (which you have access from the family and dining room downstairs and master bedroom upstairs) will take your breath away, in a combination of mountains, golf course, and lava field (you literally will have a lava field in the backyard). As homeschooling parents, that alone gave us an entire week of material for teaching. The private beach is gorgeous. Due to having small children, we never walked to it, so I am not sure how convenient is the walking, but it's 3 minutes by car. A great place for enjoying the beautiful sand beach, snorkling, standup paddling, and a gorgeous sunset. It is also conveniently located next to a small outside shopping mall that offers great restaurants, shops, and almost nighly activities that gave us the fun Hawaiian experience. It is also located only 10 minutes from Hapuna Beach, where you experience the most gorgeous sunset. Karen, the owner of the Villa, is extremely courteous as well. She has prepared a nice folder to help you navigate the island, choose activities, and just with nice fyi material. That was definitely a plus. Overall, we have rented vacation homes throughout the world and we are very particular on our choices, especially when it comes to cleanness and comfort. This place is by far on the top of our list. If you are looking for a place to stay that will give you an amazing experience, this is the place."
