  • Very nice!

"We stayed here for 2 weeks in September. First off, the Beach Villas complex is one of the nicest in the resort. It is lushly landscaped, clean and beautifully maintained. We have stayed in a number of other units within the complex over the past few years and while all were nice this was one of the best. It is clean, well furnished and everything is extremely well organized. Everything worked flawlessly during our stay and while we didn't need to contact Ben for anything, he made it clear that he was readily available should we have any questions or anything arise. We highly recommend it....thumbs up from us."

  • Return trip

"This was our second vacation at Hula Moon and it was as wonderful as the first. There were even some upgrades since our last trip. After a rigorous set of flights to Kona, we both said the same thing as we walked in the door - "We're home". That is about the highest compliment you can give to Hula Moon. It feels like home. Kim provides everything you need to enjoy your time in Paradise. All of the amenities are top notch. The kitchen is well appointed and supplied. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms also well appointed even with a starter pack of supplies. We used many of the "toys" supplied like the boogie boards, and beach chairs. A daily morning swim in the pool was great as was the nightly walk to A-Bay beach for sunset. We enjoyed snorkeling at A-Bay but the water was a bit cloudy, we also snorkeled at Beach 69 and at Mauna Lani which was outstanding. The trade winds made golf a challenge but we pretty much had the Kings Course to ourselves, a real private country club. For groceries we found the ABC store at Queens Marketplace had the best veggies, Safeway in Kona (get a Safeway member discount card) for general stuff and the KTA store in Waikoloa Village for seafood and poke. To top off the whole trip, the whales put on a daily show. We watched from A-Bay or the Hilton many afternoons but also went up to Kawaihae at Pu'ukohala Heiau National Historic site (free) to whale watch. Kim is great to work with and she checked up on us a couple of times during our long stay. Hula Moon is so convenient to everything you may need within walking distance. We ate most meals at "home" and used the grill extensively but had special dinners at KPC in the Hilton and Merriman's at Waimea. Mahalo Kim, can hardly wait to return."

  • Wish we never had to leave!

"We spent a week here and we wish we could have stayed a lifetime! This condo is centrally located on the Big Island in an amazing complex with gorgeous views. The unit was extremely clean, the beds very comfortable, the neighbors very sweet. The lanai was our favorite spot in the unit as the weather was wonderful. The beautiful geckos come out to enjoy breakfast and coffee with you each morning, and also dine with you in the evening. Sometimes you will be blessed with the presence of the wild Nene that run the course and, if you’re really lucky, there might be some babies tagging along. Starter toiletries were provided and ample, and the fully stocked kitchen even included things like plastic baggies, foil and garbage bags. There are ample linens and you have access to beach chairs, ice chests and sand toys, as well as a variety of books and movies for your reading & viewing pleasure. You have everything you need to be comfortable here. You’re not far from anything when you stay here. In fact, you’re only about 90 minutes max (depending on traffic) from just about anything you could want to see or do here. There’s a grocery store and gas station within walking distance. An hour North in one direction gets you to Pololu Valley which has the most amazing black sand beach, and in another direction gets you to Waipio Valley which has some awesome horseback riding. Cut West through the middle of the island for about an hour and you’ll hit the Hilo side where you can experience several amazing waterfalls such as Rainbow Falls and Boiling Pots, as well as the lush rainforests. We plan on making this a yearly vacation and will stay here every time, but just until we save up enough to purchase our own unit. Cannot wait to get back there!"

  • Perfect get away

"The condo is well stocked and in a quiet location but is also near the back gate of the complex so easy to exit when leaving to see the island. It is also near the golf club house if you are a golfer-just a 5 minute drive. We had no problems at all and would gladly stay here again the next time we travel to the big island."
