  • Fantastic vacation property & great owner !

"My wife and I enjoyed staying at Mike's wonderful condo at Mauna Lani earlier this week. The condo is equipped with everything you could possibly need or want and Mike was very helpful in coordinating a couple of requests that we made. The view from the Lani is to die for as is the entire property - well maintained, quality and very friendly service. Mike's "condo information book" is amazing - it has up to date information on the Island as well as the immediate resort area, we would not hesitate to stay here on our next visit to the Big Island and will be recommending Mike's lace to anyone who asks. Mahalo Mike!"

  • 4th Visit

"As this was our 4th visit, no point rehashing previous reviews under "Tom" from Santa Fe. Judy and I spent 2 weeks at Mel's place again this year and have nothing but 10+ to give it (and Mel). The only "drawback" is that if you are coming to the Big Island to "see the sites," driving times are long. Otherwise, the suite is very nice, the host is great, the setting is very tranquil, Hawi Town is very pleasant, and we are already planning to return in 2018. As far as ancillary things go, Pesto, the restaurant in the port down the coast road 15 - 20 minutes, was disappointing this year. Bamboo, in Hawi Town, was again very satisfactory to excellent. Ultimate Burger, a long way away to go for a burger, admittedly (in Kona), was excellent. The beach at Mauna Kea Resort (25 minutes down the coast road) is the best there is but imposes parking space limitations on public "riff-raff". We got in 3 days out of 5 attempts. However, the beach at Waikoloa (35 minutes) is very good and has unlimited parking. Too, Spencer Park, about 20 minutes down the coast road, is protected from a surf POV, quiet and pleasant."

  • The best VRBO rental we have had!

"We have stayed at many different VRBO properties around the US, but this was wonderful. The Mauna Lani resort was 20-25 min north of the airport. We stopped at the little market at the entrance to the resort - extensive groceries there. The grounds were beautiful - very well kept. The Fairways section was out of the main area - kept it quiet. The properties make a circle around the pool area which was wonderful! The unit itself was the best stocked place we have ever stayed! The kitchen was great - all the utensils/pans you need. Good quality things as well. The bathrooms were all stocked with soaps/shampoos, etc. The location on the island is wonderful. This unit is a well priced, well maintained, and very well stocked for you! Loved this place."

  • Beautiful Spot

"Location in the complex is amazing with a beautiful view of the ocean and close to pool and work out room and bar and restaurant. The condo is clean and well stocked with everything you need both in the kitchen and beach toys. Beds and pillows are comfortable and bedding soft. My husband enjoyed the Beach Golf course too at a reduced rate. Would highly recommend this Property and Kathy was a joy to deal with."
