  • Wonderful unit, excellent location!

"Our family of 4 absolutely loved staying in this unit. Having 3 bedrooms was amazing with 2 teens - 1 boy, 1 girl. The unit is stylish, very clean, extremely well stocked as far as kitchen, linens, towels, beach chairs, snorkel gear, and so on. Totally comfortable and classy. The master bedroom is huge. Having a washer and dryer was a big help, just know that the washer is a little loud and the dryer needs a couple runs per load. The pool is lovely, as are the grounds. The beach club is just beautiful, with great snorkeling very close to shore, paddle boards, classy restaurant. We honestly didn't know where it was, but it is on South Kaniku Drive. We grew very fond of the little supermarket at the Shops and were there most days. Saved a lot of money on restaurants. Do try the vegan/vegetarian place at the Shops (no matter your food preferences). If you happen to be there on July 4, as we were lucky enough to do, go to Turtle Independence Day! Management was very responsive and helpful. The location was great for day trips north/east like Pololu, Waimea, Hamakua Coast, Waipio and even Hilo. Or south to Kailua-Kona and snorkeling at Captain Cook. Highly recommend!!!"

  • Best vacation ever!

"Hi Pattie, I just wanted to thank you so much for the best vacation I have ever been on. The place was more than what I had expected. And the ocean was breathtaking. We had plans to hike, explore other beaches and shop a little, we ended up staying and enjoying the place we had and loving every minute. We had one person that was not an ocean. She wanted to go to a hotel pool and hang out. Well she is now an ocean lover. How could you not be? Right!! We met up with my nephew his wife and three kids who we had never met before. I can’t express how great the trip was. The house gave us the perfect location to just enjoy each other without having the hassle of going anywhere. The last day we cleaned up. Hopefully you were happy with how we left it. We did find the checkout procedures. We did everything we could to make it easy to clean. Once we were pretty close to being done my two boys and I took one last swim out to the rocks together. This is a memory I will never forget. This trip brought us all closer together which we all really needed. I can’t thank you enough for working with me on the house and making it possible. I wish we could have met up with you on this trip. Hopefully we will be able to come back next year and stay longer. Take Care Mahalo! Mary"

  • Spectacular view

"The condo was perfect and we had more room than we needed. Clean, well-equipped and well maintained with a serviceable kitchen and updated bathrooms (3!) You might be tempted to bring various things but you don't need to. There were plenty of high quality beach towels, beach chairs, even a beach umbrella. Previous guests had left behind enough staples and condiments to make it easy to cook, and you can get groceries right next door, although the food land in Mauna Lani was cheaper. The building manager was lovely and put a small bouquet of flowers in the elevator every day. It's also super close to two of the best beaches we've ever experienced., Hapuna and Beach 69, and easy driving distance to charming farmers' markets in Waimea. But it's all about the view. We whale/sunset watched and star gazed on the balcony, then watched the sunrise from the back gallery. Just spectacular."

  • Another awesome week in paradise

"My wife and I enjoyed another awesome week in paradise (Aloha Sands) The grounds, accomodations, owners and staff are simply the best. Over the last eight years we have stayed up and down the Kohala coast from small private homes to Hapuna Beach Prince and there is no better place to stay than Aloha Sands. The little bay (50 yards away) is excellent for kayaking, turtle watchers, swimming and just relaxing on the beautiful uncrowded beach. The owners and staff are as attentive as any 5 star hotel, we could not have enjoyed our stay more!"
