  • Beautiful home with amazing views

"Close to everything, there's a binder in the house with menus and all of the close restaurants and grocery stores. Also Close to beaches and snorkelling. The house is beautiful with glass "walls" that you can open up to the outside and the incredible ocean view. Highly recommend, will be staying again"

  • Hawaiian Paradise

"I don't even know where to begin. The house is exceptionally well appointed. It was perfect for a personal piece of Hawaiian coastal heaven for my husband and I, but it would be fabulous for families or couples to share. The layout provides ample views, yet private space for all. The views are spectacular. We spent hours on the lanai watching the ocean. We saw whales, spinner dolphins and flying fish. A whale even breached about 500 yards off shore right in front of us. It was one of the most amazing sights I have ever witnessed. The lava flows, sea cliffs and sea caves are a wonder to explore and just steps away. On calm days explore the sea caves. If the swells get big, just sit back and watch the show! And the sea can't put on a spectacles show indeed! If it is calm you can drop in to the ocean for kayaking, paddling boarding. The sunsets are amazing. The stars at night glorious. The moon will light up the ocean as the sound of the waves lull you to sleep. If you pick up ample supplies and groceries in Hilo on your way in, you will never have to leave and probably will never want to! Yet, there is so much to explore on the island. Snorkeling abounds - AMAZING! Hawaiian Volcanoes National Park is a must. We were fortunate enough to be here when the lava tube was flowing into the ocean. Go to the visitor's center after dark and see the glow of the caldera. On the way stop by Punalu'u Bake Shop, the southernmost bakery in the US, and try their fresh Hawaiian sweet bread and lilikoi malasada. And don't miss the turtles at the Black Sand Beach. It's all short excursion from your home away from home in paradise. We have rented twice now from the Jensen's. We loved both of their Miloli'i properties. If you want paradise away from it all, but with all the appointments of a high-end resort, you can't lose with any of the Jensen's Miloli'i properties! Thanks Elaine and Ole. See you next year!!"

  • Mahalo All Around

"What a beautiful home with spectacular views. The loft is quiet and comfortable. It has been a while since I was last on a waterbed, but it provided several of the best nights of sleep I have had in years. The host (Rhonda) was very accommodating and concerned for our comfort and requirements. We did not have much personal time with her as we spent the holidays with family at another location, but would definitely enjoy the opportunity to spend more time with her in the future. Communications were always quick, complete and informative. The view from the loft (and the shower) cannot be described, but certainly must be experienced. Thank you so much for opening your home to us. HAPPY NEW YEAR and Much Mahalo!!!"

  • Big home with an amazing view

"Joe's place was great for the 5 of us. In fact it was more than big enough, with room for 3 more. The lanai is huge and has an amazing view looking right over Kealakekua Bay and the Captain Cook Monument. We started our days with coffee on the huge lanai and often ended it watching the pool players among us battle on the lanai pool table. I enjoyed just sitting and reading. Joe's family supplied us with the most amazing tropical fruit - bananas, citrus, avocados, starfruit, papaya and dragon fruit. We were really spoiled by the end of our stay. The location is ideal - out of the tourist bustle, but close to great sites and Captain Cook for groceries and stores. Don't miss out on dinner at the Manago, and the Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park, both close by. The ChoiceMart is great! The house has only recently been available for vacation rentals and needs some additional furniture, kitchen utensils, etc. Joe was very responsive to our concerns and requests, though, so by the end of our stay some of what we found lacking had already been provided (coffee anyone?!!!). The house is a bit quirky (which we enjoyed), so do not expect polished, upscale living, but enjoy it for what it is - a great place with amazing views and a very attentive and genial host."
