  • Honeymooning Forever

"Our Honeymoon was truly in paradise. The home was perfect... A showering of warm smells of fruit and flowers filled us as we entered the driveway. Perfectly clean soft cotton sheets invited us to sleep off our flights... On awakening we walked out to our host's beautiful garden and were greeted by the host. A map of the island, suggestions of best restaurants, and things to do and were provided by the gracious host, Jill Ami. Later dressed, we followed Jill Ami down to the beautiful Manini bay. I loved our time, the beauty of the island and the home. Must plan to return soon. Thank you, Jill Ami for everything"

  • Peaceful setting and a comfortable home

"We enjoyed our week's stay at Max's house. The view of the bay, morning, noon and evening is amazing. The quiet with only the sounds of nature is calming. The home is clean, well-maintained and spacious. Our teens loved to have their own rooms and enjoyed playing with the dogs. We spent most of our days exploring the big island: walking down to the Waipio valley, stargazing at Mauna Kea, 11 mile hike to see lava gushing down into the ocean, snorkeling and hanging out on the beaches. It was always nice to come back to the house and the farm. The fridge and TV (with so many channels, though we hardly watched) are new. Beds are comfortable. Hanging out on the lanai is what we did most mornings. Our kids were connected to their school online every single day as they had to submit work. Although it was slow 1-2 days, there was no issue. Be careful of the drive from the main road to the plantation, as the road sign seems to have gone missing. Max was kind enough to come down the road to meet us the first time. He gave us a bag of Kona home-grown coffee, guavas, couple of avocados, and took us around the farm. Airport, supermarkets, beaches, cafes are all close by, albeit you need a car. Don't forget water shoes and snorkeling gear, hiking shoes and some winter clothes if you plan to go up Mauna Kea. We miss it already! Mahalo Max. Sawant family"

  • Exactly as advertised!

"From the beginning, the owner kindly responded to emails/phone calls very promptly. He also provided us with a great list of suggested places to visit. This home is comfortable, in a great location and has everything one can need. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of items to easily prepare meals. I was worried about having mostly screened in windows thinking it may get too hot or too cold. We lucked out with the weather and enjoyed a cool ocean breeze, plus falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean was amazing. The home was clean, had plenty of linens, beach toys and outing items, i.e. cooler, picnic basket, blue ice, etc. There is a small, slightly rocky beach within a 2 minute walk, great for taking an easy dip. We enjoyed 'two steps' a few miles away, a trip to the Big Island Honey Bee Farm only minutes away, drove to the volcano, went to the seahorse farm and enjoyed relaxing in the outdoor living room this home has. The home has a great layout, plenty of room to relax and enjoy. There is great outdoor space that is comfortable...just watch out for the mosquitos, but like everything else the owner has prepared for this with bug spray and candles to repel them. I would definitely return for another visit. Thank you!"

  • South Kona Gem

"Loved our stay at Stacey's and looking forward to returning. It's a perfect location for exploring Kailua-Kona and areas to the south (e.g., Cook's Bay, Two--Step/Place of Refuge, Black Sand Beach, Volcano National Park and the village). Beautiful property full of various kinds of fruit trees, and with views beyond to the ocean. All the toys you could possibly want: beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, noodles, snorkel gear). Nicely equipped kitchen along with an outdoor gas grill. Plenty of ceiling and floor fans to keep the interior temp comfortable, and it's already a tad cooler than Kona-town to begin with as it's at a a couple hundred feet or so above sea level. Don't forget the outdoor shower, which is a lovely green oasis. Really enjoyed getting to know Stacey while there too. Mahalo, Jean"
