  • Absolute Paradise

"This was our first trip to Hawaii, and my husband and I agreed that this house was the perfect setting for it. The views are indescribable, the house is beautiful, clean, and well-equipped all around. It may have been a bit of a drive from the airport, volcano, etc. (not terrible however), but considering we are generally not "big city" fans, and this location kept us out of the heavy traffic areas (unless we decided to drive through it intentionally), it was perfect for us. If we are blessed enough to ever return, we would definitely stay here again. Mahalo!"

  • Can't be beat!

"This beautiful home is spacious, well-appointed and carefully maintained. The location is amazing, right on the water with gorgeous sunset views! The property is large and very peaceful with beautiful foliage. The jacuzzi and outdoor lava rock shower make it a true paradise. I loved drifting to sleep each night to the sound of the waves. Included in the rental was access to kayaks and the boat launch located just two houses away. We had such an amazing time kayaking out to the spinner dolphins each morning and hopping in for the most exceptional experience! The snorkeling at the monument is world class. Also just 4 miles down the road is The City of Refuge "two step" which had great snorkeling as well. Our family ranged from our little kids (age 3 & 5), to our teenagers (15 & 18) and my in-laws in their 70's. Everyone had a great time. There is truly something for everyone here. We will definitely be visiting the Dolphin Retreat again as soon as we can. There is something magical about this place!"

  • A Little Bit of Paradise

"About a 20 minute drive south of the hustle and bustle of Kona, this relaxing refuge, along with the generous hosts, was a great way to end our Hawaiian vacation. During our 3-day visit, we enjoyed fantastic breakfasts of exotic, tropical fruits (and muffins), courtesy of our hosts. They also provide beach chairs, snorkeling gear, boogie boards, coolers, etc. for their guests. Though this rental is close (10-min drive) to one of the best snorkeling spots on the Big Island (Two Steps at Honaunau), we preferred to snorkel and to relax on the beach at Kahaluʻu Beach Park (about 20-min north & arrive before 10AM to find parking). We would surely recommend this rental to friends, and we sincerely hope to return someday. Mahalo to Tina and Keri."
