  • Evertything just right!

"My entire family 6 stayed is the wonderful home for 5 days! The facilities were clean and well kept. The view and the sound of the ocean waves made this truly a peaceful get away. We will be back."

  • Can we go back there today, please?

"We left the Plumeria Suite 2 weeks ago and keep wishing we could be back there. This was our 7th or 8th visit to the same unit over the years, and we will return next year too! The cottage is nestled in the jungle, quiet in the daytime with a gentle koki and gecko duet in the evenings. The Plumeria Suite is well appointed with snorkels, fins, boogey boards, kayaks, towels and other supplies you may use and need, but you don’t really want to have to bring on the plane. “Our cottage” is very close to Honaunau (Two-Step) and Kealakekua Bay, meaning amazing snorkeling every day. This is not the place if you want to be around people all the time – it is great for those seeking quiet beauty. Enjoy!"

  • Lanai with a view

"Beautiful private getaway in the tropics, all amenities, clean and spacious. Great for a couple or small family. Sweeping view with the constant sounds of crashing waves in the distance."

  • At home in Hawaii

"We spent a few days in the 2 bedroom apartment at Carol’s House on Kealakekua Bay and loved it. Being in a tranquil neighborhood at the waters edge, staying here felt more like real Hawaii versus tourist Hawaii . The apartment itself was more than comfortable for two or more, with tropical furniture, a well-provisioned modern kitchen, and stylish bathroom. A large covered lanai provided another breezy living area. The tropical backyard with an outdoor shower, tiki torches, lava rock BBQ, and patio table was nice to relax in and watch orange-spotted day geckos in the lush foliage. The location is great, with Kealakekua Bay steps away, and just down the road on 160, Honaunau Bay /Two Step (City of Refuge) offering world class shore diving and snorkeling. There is a grocery store nearby on highway 11 as well as cafe's and shops. We only wish we could have stayed longer."
