  • South Kona Gem

"Loved our stay at Stacey's and looking forward to returning. It's a perfect location for exploring Kailua-Kona and areas to the south (e.g., Cook's Bay, Two--Step/Place of Refuge, Black Sand Beach, Volcano National Park and the village). Beautiful property full of various kinds of fruit trees, and with views beyond to the ocean. All the toys you could possibly want: beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, noodles, snorkel gear). Nicely equipped kitchen along with an outdoor gas grill. Plenty of ceiling and floor fans to keep the interior temp comfortable, and it's already a tad cooler than Kona-town to begin with as it's at a a couple hundred feet or so above sea level. Don't forget the outdoor shower, which is a lovely green oasis. Really enjoyed getting to know Stacey while there too. Mahalo, Jean"

  • We hope we can stay here again some time!

"We stayed two weeks at Papalani Farm and basked in the healing atmosphere of this cozy farmhouse. We had everything we needed and Nikki was a perfect hostess. We received healing energies from the expert massages (the best any of us had ever had) and the Infrared Sauna. We loved the outdoor shower too. The organic foods from the farm were delightful, and some days we just stayed "home" and enjoyed the books and sweet breeze from the open doors. Nikki told us where to find dolphins and we spent over two hours out in the bay swimming with 30-plus dolphins all around us! Lots of Fun - Lots of Sunshine - Lots of Healing - Lots of Love! PS: Our favorite place to eat lunch was at Rebel's Kitchen in Captain Cook! Valerie"

  • Best vacation spot!

"Where do I start? Getting to the property was an adventure to be remembered. A one lane (paved) road up the mountain took us through awesome tropical greenery. Just when you thought you’d passed the property and would end up lost in the jungle, the gate to the property appears! Driving up the tree-lined drive just made us more excited about our stay. The property is gorgeous, and the house is really cool. The pool is nice and warm with water falls over the edge, black bottom and honu mosaics. We spent most of our time in the pool during the day. When our friends would head into town, my wife and I enjoyed a little nude sunbathing! The patio was great for dinner, drinks, and a sunset dip in the hot tub. The outdoor grill and tiki torches were a nice touch. We had two masters bedrooms and a nearby ohana room which gave us plenty of private time, all three having great views. Waking up to a chorus of birds every morning reminded you where you were. The beds were super high quality and, according to my wife, the house was beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the huge kitchen and made sure we got lots of fresh seafood from Costco and produce from the farmers markets (one was on Saturdays right by the house). We had a few issues with the dishwasher but the owner was quick to respond. Everything else was perfect! Jeni made the process easy and was super helpful to share information about the area and offer recommendations. This house was easily big enough for 10 people but I’ll tell you we enjoyed being three couples just lodging about. We ventured out to a few beaches (lots of beach supplies were provided), had dinner at a cool restaurant called Holuakoa Café, lunched in town at Humpy’s and Huggo’s, and grabbed beers at the Harbor House in Honokohau Marina. Kona Brewery is another great place but get there early or you will wait forever. All in all, probably one of our best vacations! When we come back to the islands, this is where we will come. If we could give it 10 stars we would."

  • Great for families!

"We were a group of 3 adults and 4 children under the age of 3 (!). Susan was so kind and accommodating. Because we were set to fly from Oahu the day the second of two hurricanes (!) was in the area she offered to let us check-in a day early at no charge. We ended up not needing to change our plans, but I thought it was a very generous offer. She also left out age appropriate movies and toys and a portable crib, big hit with the kiddos and parents. The house is very well equipped - it has everything you could need in the kitchen, lots of cleaning supplies (a must with young children), a ton of towels, beach supplies etc. Pictures and description are very accurate. It was very warm when we were there in early September, two of our nights it cooled off nicely but one was pretty uncomfortable. The house does come with a ton of fans. There is a little beach within easy walking distance and you could kayak to the Cook memorial, we saw dolphins one morning. Since we have such little kids we drove to nearby Two-Step for swimming, perfect tide pools for kiddos. In short, great place for families!"
