  • Our favorite place in the sun!

    "My wife and I just returned from two weeks at Roxanne's place. We couldn't be happier with our choice (except maybe we need 3 weeks next time). We have stayed in Milolii before, but this was even better. Milolii is a bit off the beaten path (but still within an hour of Kona), but that is why we like it there. We had to make a couple runs to Kona, but were able to get by on the local fruit stands and an occasional beer run to nearby Oceanview. We love the solitude, sunny weather, access to snorkeling, and gracious hosts. The house itself is beautiful, sitting right on the ocean, and right next to the handy steps/handrail to get in for snorkeling. The first week was a bit rough to get in the water, but we just spent some time on the deck watching for whales and enjoying the sun. We were entertained by a small pod of whales and a rambunctious little calf slapping his tail on the water just in front of us from the deck. Second week was filled with snorkeling right out front. Super spot and we are recommending to all our Alaskan friends who enjoy the sun and solitude that this place is perfect for. Roxanne is super-fast at responding to any questions and is very easy to work with. We highly recommend this place and Roxanne!!"

  • A Room with a View

    "The cottage is a lovely little retreat with an absolute killer view. I really enjoyed the privacy and quiet the farm offers as well as the South Kona location. It's convenient to town, south coast beach attractions and other parts of the island. I would highly recommend for those who prefer a more 'natural/local' experience, in comparison to the 'resort/touristy' experience. It's a great place to relax and recharge. Candi was a helpful and gracious host and made me feel at home. Hope to come back soon!"

  • A+++

    "Lovely home & the most equipped rental we've ever stayed in! Owner was very accommodating & gave clear instructions. There were some minor maintenance issues...but I reported them & believe they were taken care of for the next renters. If we ever get the opportunity to return to the island, we would definitely stay here. My husband said, "Best vacation to date!""

  • Loved spring break at the cove

    "We felt like we knew what to expect from the pictures and the other reviews, but I have to say the experience, the house and the view were even better than we expected. The view from the infinity pool was amazing and we loved the hot tub. We were there to witness spectacular sunsets on 5 of 7 nights. We slept to the sound of waves crashing on the rocks every night. The frontage down to the ocean is a little steep and rocky, but it was no problem for me and my family (2 teenage boys - 14 and 16). The seas were calm enough a few days for us to hop in and snorkel in the cove. There was a sea turtle and a variety of colorful tangs, wrasses and huge parrot fish hanging out there. I'd guess its 15-20 feet deep as soon as you jump in. A couple of rock structures made a ledge for a decent way out of the water. You have to use common sense though, there were a couple days the seas were way too rough. Safety first! The location of the house was a nice compromise for us since we wanted to visit the green sand beach and the volcano & lava tube on the south and south east part of the island as well as hit some of the attractions in Kona. I believe the nearest store was about 25 minutes south, while Walmart and other shopping was about a 50 minutes north. Plan your shopping and stock the fridge and cupboards. The house has everything you need to cook or barbecue on the Weber, there was even a strainer to make spaghetti or Mac n Cheese. We packed light, all carry-on, due to the full laundry available there. The house really had everything we needed. Fantastic place. Highly recommended!"
