  • Great for families!

"We were a group of 3 adults and 4 children under the age of 3 (!). Susan was so kind and accommodating. Because we were set to fly from Oahu the day the second of two hurricanes (!) was in the area she offered to let us check-in a day early at no charge. We ended up not needing to change our plans, but I thought it was a very generous offer. She also left out age appropriate movies and toys and a portable crib, big hit with the kiddos and parents. The house is very well equipped - it has everything you could need in the kitchen, lots of cleaning supplies (a must with young children), a ton of towels, beach supplies etc. Pictures and description are very accurate. It was very warm when we were there in early September, two of our nights it cooled off nicely but one was pretty uncomfortable. The house does come with a ton of fans. There is a little beach within easy walking distance and you could kayak to the Cook memorial, we saw dolphins one morning. Since we have such little kids we drove to nearby Two-Step for swimming, perfect tide pools for kiddos. In short, great place for families!"

  • A wonderful getaway spot on the South Kona coast

"This place is great for a couple with nice ocean and sunset views. We loved hanging out on the lanai watching the geckos and listening to the birds. Our main reason for picking this location was the proximity to Hawaii Volcanoes Natl Park - little more than an hour away. Although a bit of a treck to the store, we were out often enough to plan shopping with our outings. The little beach noted by the owners was a great place for a first time snorkeler. The home is very well appointed with very comfy bed. We enjoyed the hot tub too! Thanks for the nice accomodations!"

  • super-equipped, beautifully decorated outdoor living without the bugs

"Beth's Hawaiian Hideaway was a wonderful last stop on our 30th anniversary tour of the Big Island. The setting and design of the Hideaway made us feel as if we were experiencing all the pleasantries of the outdoors while enjoying the comforts of home. It was equipped with everything we have possibly needed and more. We so enjoyed our stay, we didn't get to the kayaks as we had intended. The location was fabulous and Beth and Dave were delightful hosts. Highly recommended!"

  • A great location and great supplies for taking kids to the beach

"We really enjoyed our stay. the place is indeed great for families. The beds are very comfortable and there is ample space both inside, on the lanai and on the lawn for kids to play. They have a great collection of boogie boards and sand toys which our kids really enjoyed taking to the beaches. And the view of the coast and sunsets were excellent. I would definitely stay there again on a return trip."
