Recent Banyan Tree reviews

  • Location and view are awesome...

"Initially I was trying to be closer to Kona. I rented Banyan, however because of the proximity to the water and the reviews. I found nothing even close to it for the price more proximal to Kona. We stayed 2 weeks. As it turned out for us, the location was about perfect. Kona is a small town and you can walk most of it in a half day to orient yourself. After that most of what you are doing is away from Kona. And much of that is south, which make Banyan Trees a perfect jumping off point. The KTA grocery store a few miles south in the Keauhou Shopping Center was the best Grocery in our opinion, and it was just 5 minutes away by Car. You are less than a mile from Magic Sands Beach, one of the best places to relax Ocean side, Though it is very busy over the Holidays. The best part for us was having a front row seat to watch world word class surfers every day.. Amazing. The Condo itself is very well organized and comfortable. It lacks nothing really, that I can think of. The beach Chairs are Backpack beach chairs, so they can hold your stuff if you decide to go check out 609 beach or Pine trees. (Highly recommend) Enjoy! We certainly did."

  • Great location!

"Kevin was abpleasure to work with, easy booking and check in process. Quick responses via email. The condo was in a perfect location for beaches, snorkeling, Kona town, and easy to get to restaurants and stores. Free parking and the closest spot to the elevator! The condo, itself, had everything you needed to cook and really feel like home. The only critique we had was there was no air conditioning. Most Hawaiians get used to the weather I'm sure, but we came from MI winter and it was hot during the day. The nights did cool off, we just made sure to adventure every day until sunset. The owner did say, however, he will be installing a unit soon. And most people probably wouldn't mind sunshiney 80's. The pool was beautiful and the views were great! Watched the surfers whenever the waves get big, always fun. The stars were amazing as well! <3"

  • Beautiful sea view, well maintained house

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We came here for our first anniversary and had a great time. The Sea view was of course very beautiful, house was clean, the bedroom (and the attached tub) were romantic, the kitchen was stuffed with a lot of cookware, dishes and some basic stuff like salt, oil, vinegar. 2 bathrooms made the "getting ready" quicker. the location was closer to safeway/walmart/costco. Alii drive had nice mini-downtown kind of setting a couple of miles away. The two things that I wished for were Air conditioning (it was very humid, even during nights), and some bathroom stuff (soap, shampoo etc.). Other than that, it's perfect."

  • Perfect View!

"We stayed at this property with out two daughters who are in their 20's. When we walked in, the first thing that we noticed was the view of the ocean. It was amazing and we did not get tired of gazing out of the windows or off the lanai. We saw perfect sunsets and watched the surfers try to catch a wave. We even saw a whale the first evening were there. The condo was spacious enough for us, clean and well stocked with what we needed for our stay. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub which overlooked the ocean. It was an easy drive for groceries or to Kailua for dinner. We hiked down to Cook's Monument which had fantastic snorkeling. Hiking back up was not that easy- but worth it! We attended a wedding at Living Stones Church which was just several buildings down the road. Such a great location for us. Thank you Dana!"
