  • Morning coffee and surfers

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A very well maintained unit and well stocked. I do not think we could have been any closer to the water and surfer entertainment from daylight to sundown. I was concerned about the noise from the small park next to our unit but it was not an issue. The complex is on a busy road and you do hear that in the back bedroom. We did have to call maintenance and they were there in a very short time and helpful. If renting make sure they have both window coverings in the living room because it is very bright and hot in the afternoon. Hope we have a chance to rent this unit again."

  • Very nice and at water's edge

"The condo is very nicely decorated, and seems to have been recently redone with lovely bamboo floors, tile, granite. Windows open to the lanai right above the crashing waves. When it gets a bit warm in the late afternoon, the pool is wonderful for cooling off, and the soft breezes through the open windows cool everything down. Just far enough away from the most congested part of Ali'i Dr, but still conveniently close. Very clean. Well-stocked kitchen. We liked the fact that the Banyan Tree is small; the few neighbors we met were friendly and low-key."

  • Location and view are awesome...

"Initially I was trying to be closer to Kona. I rented Banyan, however because of the proximity to the water and the reviews. I found nothing even close to it for the price more proximal to Kona. We stayed 2 weeks. As it turned out for us, the location was about perfect. Kona is a small town and you can walk most of it in a half day to orient yourself. After that most of what you are doing is away from Kona. And much of that is south, which make Banyan Trees a perfect jumping off point. The KTA grocery store a few miles south in the Keauhou Shopping Center was the best Grocery in our opinion, and it was just 5 minutes away by Car. You are less than a mile from Magic Sands Beach, one of the best places to relax Ocean side, Though it is very busy over the Holidays. The best part for us was having a front row seat to watch world word class surfers every day.. Amazing. The Condo itself is very well organized and comfortable. It lacks nothing really, that I can think of. The beach Chairs are Backpack beach chairs, so they can hold your stuff if you decide to go check out 609 beach or Pine trees. (Highly recommend) Enjoy! We certainly did."

  • Possibly the no.1 location in kona

"There is no doubt that the view and location of this apartment is incredible. Mesmerising. You have to pinch yourself that you are where you are. Directly on the beach (almost on top of the beach) from the lounge/dining/balcony we were entertained by waves as good as the pipeline, surfers and body boarders with amazing skills, a whale one day and playful dolphins the next. The pool was incredible (the kids spent hours in, and any outing we did, we were interrogated on how much longer until the pool). You can definitely lose hours just lazing by the pool and looking out to that view. The apartment itself was relatively clean and had everything we needed, but is tired and dated. The bonus beach towels, beach chairs and boogie boards are a great addition. The outdoor chairs should be higher because this apartment is all about that view and you want to be able to sit there comfortably and just look at it. Unfortunately the washing machine was not operational during our 4 night stay and with 3 small children we really could have done with this - though we understand these things happen and it wasn't a deal breaker. The bins in the bedroom has not been emptied and this was a little disturbing given the contents. Another little thing but not biggy. All in all this apartment has the view to die for and this in itself makes it a 5 star. Would I come back? Absolutely."
