"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Amazing location! Convenient for walking to numerous restaurants, shops, farmers market. Total ocean view from condo for watching sunrise with a cup of Kona coffee and relaxing to a romantic sunset in the evening. All of this and you hear the wonderful ocean waves throughout this oasis. The pool is large enough for swimming laps or just a cool down relaxed environment. Morning and afternoon sun affords all day Vitamin D therapy. Ocean swimming is just a short walk away. Very comfortable home away from home!"

  • Exceeded Our Expectations

"We really enjoyed our two weeks in this unit. We have stayed at this condo location many times over the past 15 years, in a variety of units. We love the layout of the complex; its garden area, with water features, plants and flowers, the fresh water pool in the middle of the courtyard, the cabana/BBQ area, second pool, and man-made sand beach on the "dry" side of the seawall. Over the years, upgrades have been made and this is still one of the best condo complexes on the Island. First time we stayed on the third floor, and we got a lot of additional exercise using the stairs (there's an elevator on the same level just steps from our condo entrance). There was a change in ownership after we booked the condo, but there were no problems in the transition. In fact, the property manager (Lori) for the new owner met us at the unit the night we arrived. She provided a tour and answered questions, and made us feel very welcome. The unit was very nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was larger than most, with two entrances (from the bedroom & hallway). All the appliances worked, including the clothes washer & dryer. There was a minor problem with the living room TV remote control, but that should be resolved by now. Plenty of towels, and many other extras in the unit, but some small beach chairs & coolers would be nice additions. While we adapted, an upgrade to the furniture would be a plus. From the third floor lanai there is more than a partial view of the ocean, as well as Hualalai Mountain, plus a great view of the courtyard's garden area. This lanai also adds additional private living space, that a ground floor unit does not. The Casa is just a little over a mile from town, a nice early morning walk for coffee and/or breakfast. All in all, we would rate this condo a 4.7 or 4.8 out of 5.0, and would look to stay in this condo again."

  • Can't beat this spot

"This was my first visit to the lovely Big Island so I had no idea where the best location to stay was and I must say we got really lucky with this place. The location is prime; literally right on the water and close enough to the restaurants and attractions yet not so close that you get all of the noise & foot traffic that comes along with being near the entertainment. It's important to understand that this house is older and has history as it has been in the owner's family since the 60s so you must respect the things that come with older places. Still, it has great character, plenty of parking, towels, silverware, snorkel gear, and just about everything you need to enjoy your time in beautiful Kona. Tim was great to work with and the house was in expected shape upon entrance. So while this isn't the Four Seasons, if you want a quiet getaway where all you can hear are the crashing waves as you sit and watch the cruise ships disembark for the night, you've found your spot. I will be remembering this place for future visits to Kona as we really appreciated our stay."

"This condo was very clean and spacious. We ate out on the lanai which over looks the golf course for almost every meal. The lanai has ceiling fans and shades to wind down in the afternoon which keeps the condo from becoming too hot. We used the barbecue on several occasions. The condo is stocked with every cooking appliance and utensil you could possibly need as well as cleaning/ laundry supplies and beach/outing extras(too many to describe) etc. I loved the fact that this complex is basically the last complex on Alii Dr. You are close enough to Kona and to Keauhou shopping centre but still seemed very quiet. There was Wifi, TV, books etc available as well as a hand book with tips about sights around the island. I loved having access to the lanai off the Master bedroom as well as the living room, we slept with the patio doors open for the breeze to blow through. Pat and Jim were quick to respond to our emails and easy to deal with. We really enjoyed our stay on the Big Island and would recommend this condo."
