  • Quiet, Secure, Comfortable 2 Bedroom Condo Close to Town

"This was a real home away from home for us and we really enjoyed our stay. The condo was very clean & well equipped with comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen and all good facilities. It was very secure & quiet and the car parking was right outside the door. Only 2 of us stayed but it would be comfortable for 4. There is a nice private linai out the back and all good mosquitoe screens & fans in every room. Good A/C on a timer as well but it was comfortable sleeping at night with the windows open and the fans going. There is a good pool area right on the ocean side and you can snorkel off the rocks if the sea is not to big. Good laundry & trash facilities as part of the complex and close to the condo. The owners - Allen & Pat were fantastic to deal with so we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this unit to anybody Just a short walk to town and a good, cheap fruit & veg market on the way open every day except Mondays. Our favourite restaurant on the way into town was Lava Java for Breakfast, lunch & dinner with good parking just behind the mall. Our 1st time with VRBO and we were very happy. We hope the next experience is as good as this one was - Thanks Guys."

  • True Paradise

"Loved everything about this place! Spacious end unit with the best ocean view in Kona. We were treated to magnificent sunset every evening. Just sitting at the Lanai to the most beautiful Hawaiian sunset is already priceless! The owner is most accommodating with any questions we had. Well stocked in every way to make the most of your vacation. Our best stay in Hawaii for sure and will definitely stay here again! Highly recommend!"

  • Quiet, Friendly & Centrally Located

"I stayed here for 4 nights during a writing/vacation trip to the Big Island. It was wonderful. I stayed in a downstairs unit that had tons of windows, which provided plenty of natural light and fresh air. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything I needed to make my own meals. The bed was comfy with lots of pillows, & there was a ton of closet/storage space. The unit was clean & surprisingly spacious for a studio-style set up. The property location was perfect. 10 minute drive from the airport. The house is up on the mountain & in the clouds, but I was down at the beach & in the sun (weather varies dramatically here, even within a couple of miles) in less than 10 minutes. This is something to consider, because it's cooler up on the mountain & may make for more comfortable sleeping after a long, hot day at the beach. The house is in a quiet, calm, tropical residential neighborhood. It's a 4 minute drive up the mountain to a well-stocked neighborhood grocery store called Matsuyama Food Mart. The store has some decent carry out food--pizza & Hawaiian-Asian cuisine if you don't feel like cooking. The larger chain grocery stores like Safeway are a 15-20 minute drive down the mountain. Groceries are expensive here, & I didn't find the prices at a place like Safeway much different than those at Matsuyama's. There were considerate touches from Della that made my stay even better: beautiful leis & a tropical bouquet to greet me; tons of fresh clean towels; fresh papaya & cherries from trees just outside the door; snorkeling & beach equipment for free (warning: test the snorkeling equipment before using in the ocean. I found a lot of missing or broken parts from past guest use/abuse); & farm fresh eggs from Della's chicken coup. The other folks staying on the property were quiet, considerate & friendly. I was a young woman traveling alone & felt completely safe. The whole place was quiet by 10pm & the other guests/tenants were up and moving by about 6am (it was hard to sleep past this time because of this, so just be aware if you're a night owl). Overall, I would highly recommend this place!!"

"This condo was very clean and spacious. We ate out on the lanai which over looks the golf course for almost every meal. The lanai has ceiling fans and shades to wind down in the afternoon which keeps the condo from becoming too hot. We used the barbecue on several occasions. The condo is stocked with every cooking appliance and utensil you could possibly need as well as cleaning/ laundry supplies and beach/outing extras(too many to describe) etc. I loved the fact that this complex is basically the last complex on Alii Dr. You are close enough to Kona and to Keauhou shopping centre but still seemed very quiet. There was Wifi, TV, books etc available as well as a hand book with tips about sights around the island. I loved having access to the lanai off the Master bedroom as well as the living room, we slept with the patio doors open for the breeze to blow through. Pat and Jim were quick to respond to our emails and easy to deal with. We really enjoyed our stay on the Big Island and would recommend this condo."
