  • Kona Heaven

"We just returned from spending 10 days here. What a great place to stay. Four adults were very comfortable here and we had plenty of room. The view is breathtaking. We enjoyed having the pool and spa to use on the days we didn't go to the beach and also to be able to jump into when we returned from being out all day. We arrived the same day that Hurricane Madeline was also supposed to arrive, thankfully she didn't. Sandra greeted us with a smile and hug when we arrived and was very accommodating that we had arrived earlier in the day than check in time. There was fresh fruit waiting for us in the bowl on the kitchen counter. We enjoyed having the kitchen for cooking breakfast and making lunches. Everything we needed was there. I did purchase two non-stick pans (which I left for future renters) as I found out I am unable to cook eggs in regular pans LOL. This truly is Kona Heaven. Thank you for opening your home up to us Sandra and Ken."

  • Beautiful and Relaxing Paradise Home

"This home is wonderful, particularly for families with small kids who don't want to stay in a condo or resort. We traveled with three kids (5, 3, 18months) and I loved the idea of an orchard and a swimming pool to keep them occupied if we were working around nap times or meltdowns. Our kids LOVED playing (though closed toed shoes are a must for the orchard) and exploring. The setting was picturesque and private even though it is a residential neighborhood. Debbie was also so thoughtful to provide a pack n play when I mentioned I might need one. Beach towels, snorkeling gear, and sun hats are also available for your use so don't bring from home. In addition to the lovely setting, the rooms were spacious and clean. There was plenty of garage storage for our stroller and suitcases and preparing meals at home rather than eating out was very nice. It felt like home, which if you travel with kids, is a big bonus. This home is located on the "beach side" of the Island so if you want volcanos and waterfalls it is a bit of a drive, but it is close to Kona and all the shopping you could desire. Its proximity to the airport and the Costco were a big plus as we had rental car issues that required us to KEEP going down to the rental places near the airport, but it wasn't a distance. Debbie was great to work with. She replied to all questions I had very promptly and the people she had caring for the house (gardner/pool maintenance/trash guy) were all very affable and accommodating. The gardner even took my mother in law and husband on an hour long tour of the orchard describing the fruits and plants AND brought lovely fresh flowers. It was paradise and if I am lucky enough to go to the Big Island again, I would DEFINITELY stay at this home a second time... maybe without the kids! ;)"

  • Family vacation

"We loved our stay here. It's a perfect location short drive to town. We enjoyed the amazing sunsets every night. Our kids loved having their own pools and bedrooms with their own bathrooms. I would recommend this house to anyone with kids old enough to swim."

  • Lovely quiet tropical garden setting

"My husband and I and 3 adult children and 2 grandchildren spent a week in Kevin's airy home. The setting was perfect for us. The best parts were: being able to stroll across the lawn, go out the gate and snorkel off the rocks about 50 yards from our back porch; walking about a 1/4 mile to White Sands beach, or strolling to the end of the property and swimming in the pool or watching the sunset from the pool edge. The house itself was comfortable and well designed for our group and had everything we needed. The weather was very hot and humid during our stay so there were times when the lack of air conditioning was a negative. I would definitely return to this home."
