    "Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Lovely view of the ocean and sunset from the back deck. Close to good snorkling beaches, restaurants and grocery stores, scenic sights. Loved being able to participate in out-rigger canoeing at the harbor ! The front desk staff was very helpful when my friend's delayed luggage arrived. We had a very relaxing time and good weather the 2nd week in April ! (Had trouble with the lock box on the front door of the unit which held the door key-- perhaps too much salt air -- eventually the lock box would not open with the proper combination of numbers used)"

  • Beautiful Condo with Amazing Ocean Views!

    "We enjoyed our stay at the Banyan Tree #302. The condo is beautiful decorated and has breathtaking views of the ocean. The condo was well stocked and had everything we needed from kitchen supplies to beach gear - towels, snorkeling equipment, boogie boards, and chairs. The tips from Janice and Robert on things to do and places to eat were so helpful. I loved the Big Island Revealed book. So many great tips and advice. The Banyan Tree was very conveniently located for our excursions going north and south along the coast. We enjoyed watching the surfers. We attempted to ride the waves but be warned it is pretty rough out there. If you go out make sure to use the stairs. We went out by the small sandy beach and got caught by the rocks. We saw turtles which was a treat! The only negative is that when we were there it was humid. Even with the windows open and the fans on it would get a little stuffy when we were sleeping. Overall we loved the condo!"

  • WOW A Great Hawaii Experience ++++

    "A big thanks to the owner and rental team. This is a wonderful place to home base for all of the big island. So much to see and do and the condo is a wonderful place to call home. The ocean is right there. with fans and ocean breeze this was a wonderful sleep. Lots of great restaurants in close proximity. Snorkeling, swimming with Dolphins, Luau's, Volcano's, Segway, Mule Carriage at Wiapio Canyon and if you are a history buff like I am, learned a ton. Turtles on the beach every day. One of the best surfing and body surfing areas on the East coast. Had super surf and got to watch both. Alas at 69, my hang ten is on the scales. My wife and I celebrated 30 years of marriage and her retirement with this trip. It gave us so many pleasant memories that remain with us for ever. Please take advantage of this wonderful retreat and enjoy the Big Island over and over."

  • AMAZING condo with GORGEOUS views!! (Please read if you have mobile babies though!)

    "We had two families stay in this penthouse condo, with 5 people in each family, so 10 people total. This condo was perfect for our small family reunion! Absolutely amazing views! Everything we needed already stocked (and some we didn't know we needed!), including all kitchen supplies, extra toiletries, extra games/cards/binoculars, sand toys, extra beach towels, laundry detergent, and more. Parking was underneath the bundling, and a breeze. We were close to White Sands beach, and a great snorkeling beach, less than two miles from each. Close to downtown, but not close enough to be loud, or get into all the traffic. We used the facility pool, outdoor grills, and outdoor lawn areas. We also enjoyed looking through the tide pools each day when the tide was out. Holly was beyond helpful! When I asked her about a pack'n'play for my baby, we showed up to not only a brand new pack'n'play, but also, a brand new stroller! As wonderful as the condo was (we watched sea turtles from our very LARGE lanai every day), I do have to give a caution to families wanting to stay here with very young children. We had a baby (20 months) who is mobile, and I was not comfortable with her on the lanai during our entire time. She couldn't reach the top of the barrier, but the slats were wide enough that she could put her leg through. Since we were on the 4th floor, I was very worried! The barrier outside the condo (around the rest of the building) was worse, it was even wider! If you have older children, our next oldest was 6, this won't be a problem at all, it just was a concern with our baby. So, if you are taking a very young child, like less than 3 years old, I would caution you about the condo's lanai and building barriers."
