  • Pretty Amazing.....

"Having visited the Big Island over fifty times, my wife and I like to think of ourselves as experienced in what to do and where to stay. We’ve stayed at all the major resorts up and down the Kona Coast, as well as many vacation rentals throughout the island. This house has many amazing features, but he best one is probably the location. We would venture to stay that this may be the best overall location on the entire island - close enough to walk into the hub of Kailua-Kona, yet peaceful, quiet, and secluded beyond words. It’s located in Kona Bay Estates, a gated community with 24-hour patrolled security. Check it out on Google Earth. Sitting on the pool-deck with a glass of wine is escapism like no other - close enough to the ocean to feel the spray of waves crashing against the lava, daily pods of dolphins traversing the coastline, in-season humpback whales that sometimes breach so close that the sound is deafening. You even have your own personal lava “blowhole” next to the pool, putting on a show when the surf is up. Plus, the enjoyment of your own pool and spa makes one wonder why you’d ever want to leave the property. Upon entering the home, you immediately know you’re somewhere unique, with a courtyard that is a tropical paradise of lush greenery, a lava waterfall and a walkway over koi ponds with fish to greet you on every arrival. Talk about good “chi”. Moving on into the house you’ll find two huge master suites (one overlooking the Pacific), a homey koa-wood kitchen, large living and dining rooms. Most walls of the home fully retract, leaving one with the feeling of open-air living. Tradewinds off the ocean flow throughout the entire home. The kitchen is fully equipped - we like to take a couple of hours to prepare a gourmet dinner, usually fresh fish on the barbecue, or prepare breakfast (with mimosas!) to enjoy before some suntanning and chilling out around the pool. In a word, this place is special."

  • Great vacation rental home in Kona

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was perfect for our party of seven. One is a 3 year old. The location is so close to the water & the closest beach is just right for young children. The pool was much appreciated as weather was warm & humid. The kitchen is well equiped and the two lanais are so nice in morning & evening. Bedrooms very comfortable and lower level has big screen for a few football games. We walked to town for shopping & luau."

  • 50th Anniversary + The Dolphin House = PERFECT VACATION

"After 9 wonderful nights at the Dolphin House, our whole family is rethinking our idea of a dream vacation! What an experience! Not only is the location beautiful and private, the house itself is absolutely perfect for almost any group of people. Our group of 9 ran the gamut from infant to senior citizens, yet we were accommodated with ease and complete comfort. The kitchen and bar are amazingly well equipped, and the sleeping areas are private and quiet. The rolling walls create the perfect island ambiance, and the outdoor dining area with it's huge table is terrific. It was fortunate that this was not our first trip to the Big Island, because we really didn't want to leave the house! In addition, it's hard to say enough about the service provided by Nicole and Greg. Every question or concern that we had during the entire process was answered with "I'll take care of it" - and they did! This entire experience has made our 50th wedding anniversary one of our most treasured memories."

  • Kona Bay Estates # 23 - Nov. 3 thru Nov. 13, 2016

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is by far the best choice for a family reunion - we celebrated 3 birthdays & 2 wedding anniversaries! The Lania over looking the pacific ocean was the choice for many family get togethers & retelling the family stories, the day began & ended on the Lania with most everyone, this was a 3 generation vacation with the youngest being 25 & the oldest 78. The house has direct access to the little sandy beach, where we spent hours repositioning the lava, so the small fish & other sea life could hide from the bigger fish & sea life, allowing the younger children to see the creatures in 3 feet of water. The house had everything a 3200 sq. ft. home needed, just brought food from the local farmers markets & ate out a lot - Kona Brewing Company, Quinn's(walking distance from the home), and attended the "Kona Coffee Festival" for sampling & purchasing to bring home - can't get better flavor anywhere else! A big thanks to the owners & Kona Coast Resorts for allowing us to stay in "Paradise"."
