  • Fabulous home base for our team!

"Our Ragnar relay team stayed at Maluhia Hale for 4 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The house was perfect for a large group, some who had never met! The spaces was open and inviting, kitchen, dining and living room had plenty of space for everyone to be together, yet the bedrooms offered privacy, as did the Ohana suite below. The house was kept well, clean and had all the utensils/kitchen equipment we needed. The private pool is beautiful, and as i mentioned, we all wished we could have spent more time enjoying. The location of the house was great....close to everything in the Kona area."

  • The property is clean, well maintained and has a breathtaking view.

"The building is an older one, but is well maintained. The condo has been renovated and has a nice kitchen that is stocked with everything that you would need. I was impressed with the other supplies such as beach towels, boogie boards and snorkeling gear. The condo is very light and it is all about the view of the ocean! You will enjoy the sound of the waves. It has a great location, right next to a beautiful beach. The boogie boarding at Magic Sands is not for the faint of heart, but it is doable for a quick learner. I liked the location of the condo on Alii Drive, just out of the main town of Kailua-Kona and close to the State Park with its amazing snorkeling. We would definitely go back for another stay at the Kona Magic Sands, #314!"

  • 10 Times Better Than Any Hotel

"We loved our 3-day stay and highly recommend it for a couple looking for a quiet place on a popular road in Kona. The beach next to the building allowed us to dip in the ocean whenever we wanted. It was magical falling asleep to the ocean each night. We stayed during the Kona Ironman and loved cheering on th the participants from to the outside our door! You won't find a better place for the money."

  • Love that view from cozy, comfortable home away from home

"We really enjoyed our stay at your place in Hawaii. I don't know if it's helpful to list all the things that we liked about your place. We loved the view out the back, found the doors shielded the noise from the surf quite well when shut, but we preferred them open whenever we were awake and at home. The bikes worked great for short errands. The dishes and pans covered all our needs, we ate breakfast at home every day, but ate out most other meals, except for leftovers. We watched a couple movies on the new TV screen and never watched TV. Clothing storage space was a little tight, but since it was just the two of us, living out of suitcase was fine with a few hangups in the closet. We loved the dining table near the back door for a great view while enjoying a relaxing meal. Equally nice was the sunset view while sitting on the couch. The decor is great too. Being able to walk to the beach next door for some of the best snorkeling that I've had on any tropical island was the best highlight for me. The variety of fish was impressive as were the total number of fish. I usually only see that many fish where this fish are routinely fed. The close to centralized location allowed us to do a number of activities and still have some quality relaxation time hanging out at the home base where it is typically quiet. We were only there for a week, but it felt like home right away. With so many options of activities to choose from, we felt limited by time and money, but really liked the things we choose: Zipline in Hilo, scuba, snorkel, swim w/ manna-rays at night, church at Living Stones on Alii Dr, start gazing tour on Mauna Kea, dinner at Huggos, trips to never enough beaches."
