  • Very nice property, walking distance to "downtown" Kono, shops, resturants and more.

"The property was as listed. Marty and Paulette were a dream to work with. We made a reservation for a time after a cruise around Hawaii. The cruise was canceled. They let us rebook so we were able to do the cruise after rebooking that, then stay in Kona. The change of dates went like clockwork. Very nicely furnished, next to beach and ocean. Beautiful sunsets. Walking distance to "downtown" Kona for dinning and shops. Close to airport and sightseeing around the island. We used this property for a nine day stay as home base to explore the Big Island. Work out great."

  • Enjoyed!!!

"Had a great time! Wish there would have been A/C in the bedroom also, it had a sour smell to it, from the humidity maybe? Otherwise enjoyed our stay and would stay again!! Thank you!!"

  • Lovely and very well situated!

"Our family was very pleasantly surprised by our stay at Kona Reef. The photos online didn't do the pool area and breathtaking views of the beach justice, and the location was just perfect for easy walks in town for shopping and any meals we didn't want to cook ourselves. The unit was clean, quiet and very comfortable, although the pull-out bed in our particular unit could use an upgrade. Aside from that, it was perfect for our needs (family of three), with a well-stocked kitchen and breezy lanai. The unit also came equipped with boogie boards, beach chairs, towels, etc. which we made great use of at many of the nearby beaches. The owner and on-site staff were also very responsive and helpful, easily adjusting to late-check in needs as well as helping us arrange an amazing Dolphin Discoveries excursion. We all agree that if we come to Hawaii again, we'll be back at Kona Reef!"

  • Convenient location to shops, restaurants, activities

"This Kona Reef condo was easy to find, with ample parking and a great location in proximity to Kona village area. Made for a short walk (1/2 mile easy walk) to center of shops, restaurants, etc. The condo building is large, and well kept overall. We appreciated the clean unit, and amenities. It had everything we needed to prepare breakfasts, and snacks. Great ocean and pool view from the Lani. The bathroom was attractive with a large walk in tiled shower. We spent one week here, and were off visiting the Island landmarks, volcanoes, fishing, and beaching, so we were usually only in the condo at night and in the morning. We did not use the pool but it appeared clean and inviting. The location while greatly convenient, is right on the main road and very noisy. If you keep the bedroom window open at night, you may need ear plugs. The unit is a corner unit and when the windows were all open fully, you might get a breeze, but it was still very warm inside. We found it necessary to run the bedroom ceiling fan on high all night. We also, on a personal level found the bed, pillows and the sofa, VERY hard. You also may need to buy TP as there was only a limited amount to use. Otherwise it was a nice unit."
