  • Wonderful Location

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our great memories were reinforced on this, our second, visit. So much so we have locked in for a third next year. The villa has always been well maintained and presented and will satisfy those who expect a high standard of comfort. Excellent and convenient location complemented by So Ono the Villas own Club Car.5"

  • Fantastic Stay

"This condo is in a fantastic location and has great amenities including beach towels, guidebooks, chairs, A/C, washer/dryer, and a fully stocked kitchen. Most importantly, the owners were great about providing tips, information before and during our stay . We were on the Big Island as 2 consecutive hurricanes (Madeline and Lester) came very close to making landfall and the owners were so understanding about possible delay in travel plans. Not only did they give us the option to stay longer if needed due to weather but also provided us with local contact info. The storms ended up being non-issues it but it was such a relief to know that we had a contingency plan and that the owners were so understanding and flexible. We highly recommend!!"

  • Great Condo, Great Location

"This is a wonderfully large condo, with a location right on the ocean front. My husband is handicapped, which is why we booked this condo: it has a roll-in shower and an accessible bathroom with grab bars and raised toilets--not always easy to find in condo rentals. Weather was really hot this time of year (late September), with virtually no wind, so we appreciated the A/C during our week long stay. There were some problems with the television reception. Directions listed in the "help" book don't work at all, but I was able to get the set working. And the cable company was working on the property, resulting in loss of reception for a time. Also, there are no working telephones in the condo. Apparently, they are not even hooked up. If you need to call re an emergency, keep your cell charged at all times--it will be your only phone. The condo is very well stocked with anything you might need for simple living, including lots of seasonings. We had some insect problems in the kitchen (small ants), but I was able to eliminate them with Simple Green found under the kitchen sink. Also had a huge cockroach, but finally got rid of him, too. There is a small refrigerator outside, but it is in dire need of defrosting. We didn't need to use it at all. The ocean views and privacy of the condo are exceptional. We both enjoyed sitting on the lanai in the morning, having breakfast and watching the outriggers go by. Didn't see any dolphins, but certainly loved watching the surf hit the lava rocks. There's a shopping area just up the hill, perfect for picking up groceries at the KTA or getting a quick meal at L & L or Subway. Covered parking is close by, but be sure to drop off any handicapped person near the condo before using the very small space. Exiting the car is not always easy, if the other space is occupied. We truly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again in the future, health willing. The condo is very well furnished, large, and in a great location. Go for it!"

  • Beautiful Condo with Amazing Ocean Views!

"We enjoyed our stay at the Banyan Tree #302. The condo is beautiful decorated and has breathtaking views of the ocean. The condo was well stocked and had everything we needed from kitchen supplies to beach gear - towels, snorkeling equipment, boogie boards, and chairs. The tips from Janice and Robert on things to do and places to eat were so helpful. I loved the Big Island Revealed book. So many great tips and advice. The Banyan Tree was very conveniently located for our excursions going north and south along the coast. We enjoyed watching the surfers. We attempted to ride the waves but be warned it is pretty rough out there. If you go out make sure to use the stairs. We went out by the small sandy beach and got caught by the rocks. We saw turtles which was a treat! The only negative is that when we were there it was humid. Even with the windows open and the fans on it would get a little stuffy when we were sleeping. Overall we loved the condo!"
