"This is a wonderfully large condo, with a location right on the ocean front. My husband is handicapped, which is why we booked this condo: it has a roll-in shower and an accessible bathroom with grab bars and raised toilets--not always easy to find in condo rentals. Weather was really hot this time of year (late September), with virtually no wind, so we appreciated the A/C during our week long stay. There were some problems with the television reception. Directions listed in the "help" book don't work at all, but I was able to get the set working. And the cable company was working on the property, resulting in loss of reception for a time. Also, there are no working telephones in the condo. Apparently, they are not even hooked up. If you need to call re an emergency, keep your cell charged at all times--it will be your only phone. The condo is very well stocked with anything you might need for simple living, including lots of seasonings. We had some insect problems in the kitchen (small ants), but I was able to eliminate them with Simple Green found under the kitchen sink. Also had a huge cockroach, but finally got rid of him, too. There is a small refrigerator outside, but it is in dire need of defrosting. We didn't need to use it at all.
The ocean views and privacy of the condo are exceptional. We both enjoyed sitting on the lanai in the morning, having breakfast and watching the outriggers go by. Didn't see any dolphins, but certainly loved watching the surf hit the lava rocks. There's a shopping area just up the hill, perfect for picking up groceries at the KTA or getting a quick meal at L & L or Subway. Covered parking is close by, but be sure to drop off any handicapped person near the condo before using the very small space. Exiting the car is not always easy, if the other space is occupied. We truly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again in the future, health willing. The condo is very well furnished, large, and in a great location. Go for it!"
