  • Really lovely place and responsive owners

"The Hale Honu studio is almost like being in a boat. You can't get any closer to the water or waves. We slept with the sliding doors open every night because the sound of the ocean made sure you didn't hear any noise at all from Ali'i Drive. The beach park next door was a great place to get in the water to snorkel and everything you need for beach trips (chairs, umbrellas, towels, snorkels, cooler, boogie boards, etc) is waiting for you in the well stocked laundry room. The location makes it easy to get everywhere. We had a couple minor glitches (a smoke alarm that went off if you turned on the stove at all, dead batteries in the remotes that power the fans) but Peter and Darla were super responsive and made sure everything was right very quickly. All in all, a cozy, lovely, funky little place and a good value for the price. Thanks!"

  • Heaven on earth!

"My family absolutely loved this condo! We stayed for 15 nights, and hated to come back to the main land. I keep looking at my photos of the view off of the lanai and dreaming of going back. The unit is well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, including spices, condiments, toilet paper, etc. We just replenished some stock before we left. It was nice that we didn't have to run out to buy necessities the minute that we got there. We greatly appreciated the water shoes, beach chairs and snorkeling equipment, as it saved having to rent them. As other renters mentioned, we spent alot of time on the lanai, as the view is incredible. The cross breeze off of the water was fantastic. Loved the fresh air feel. The Surf and Racquet Club complex is beautifully landscaped, which added to the heavenly feel. We greatly appreciated the propane grills located around the property. The location is great, loved the easy access to the Keauhou Shopping Center. We took advantage of the shops, cinema and salons on several occasions."

  • Hawaiian Oasis

"I am writing this review because I believe no matter what ads or pictures say, they say only so much and reviews make a huge difference. With that said, I don't know if I can find the right words to express this amazing Hawaiian oasis. As soon as we drove up it was simply breath taking as good as the photos are it does not do this amazing home justice. There isn't one negative thing to say, the house was very comfortable, spacious. and inviting. Every single room was amazing, not one great room and the rest just alright, each and every room was awesome. The pool and lanai was perfect the sunset and sunrise left you speechless. I seriously could go on and on. In closing this review I have to thank Adam the caretaker, he is awesome what a great person, and there if you need him in a minute with great advice for all kinds of things. It was the best experience I have ever had. I cant say it enough. We will be back for sure. Mahalo"

  • Great Experience!

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed the third week of august. The house did not disappoint. Coffee on the lanai every morning is something you will look forward to. The view is absolutely spectacular. Spinner dolphins appeared daily. The two bedrooms are air-conditioned, the living room is not. Keeping the front and back screen doors open until bedtime allowed for a decent cross breeze. My Ten year old daughter stayed in the downstairs bedroom which has a separate entrance. I was at first concerned she would not be ok with that , or myself for that matter . I was pleasantly surprised that she loved it. She preferred to go back and forth from the backdoors of the house instead of the front. Instead of eating out frequently we stocked up at the local l Safeway and cooked/grilled for ourselves. Saved a ton of money and with that view who needs to go to a restaurant. The house could use a new grill, which is why I give the amenities four stars instead of five. It was functional , but grilling is a favorite of mine and in my opinion its time for a replacement. Management was great, personable and responded quickly to any questions . The location is great ! A short drive from the airport and Kona. Overall we were very happy with the house and I highly recommend this location for your stay on the big island !"
