  • Everything as advertized.

"We found the unit clean, quiet and cool. Great pool area. Locals claim the Kona Reef has one of the best pools in the area. Some bath fixtures need updating, but no big deal. There is a road next to the building, when cars make the corner at night the headlights flash into the bedroom. If you drive everyday like we did, traffic on Alii Drive can be busy in the afternoon. We would come back."

  • Great stay at White Sands

"Just got back from a wonderful vacation in Kona. We had 13 people, three generations, 18mo to 65 and the house worked well for all of us. It was a hot week and we all loved afternoons in the beautiful pool. Loved that there were many beach towels and beach toys for our use. The 18mo and 2 year old enjoyed the large areas in the house to run and play. The house now comes with a pack-n-play. The location is perfect, close to beaches, shopping and many restaurants. It made a great central location as we explored the big island. Thank you John and Robin"

  • Excellent - caters for everything

"Can highly recommend this property. It is spacious, spotlessly clean with all mod cons, even down to supplying sunblock, golf clubs and snorkelling/beach equipment. Centrally located and within easy walking distance of everything."

  • Location, location, location

"We lucked out, having started our Christmas holiday vacation housing search late. The condo is immaculately clean, uncluttered of personal items, and well appointed. The unit had every utensil we needed to barbeque steaks (gas barbeque at the pool) and make a Christmas dinner; and was thoughtfully stocked with bed linens, beach towels, laundry and cleaning supplies, and tourist information. The highlight of the condo is the location. This condo unit is on the ground floor right next to the ocean. Hop down from the lanai and you are exploring lava tide pools or snorkeling. Stay on the lanai and watch whales or local fishermen or view the sunset. We liked the proximity to town and the amenities. You'll see lots of people walking, biking or running along Ali'i Boulevard (which runs in front of the condo). Walk a block and a half towards town and you can grab a latte at Green Flash Coffee. Walk away from town a quarter mile and you can find a semi-permanent Farmer's Market. Walk to town and grab lunch or dinner, visit a historical site, or get a Shave Ice. You could do well here without a car but we used our rental car to take a few day trips (Hilo, Waimea, Captain Cook)."
