  • Great Vacation

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed Casa De Emdeko 338 for 5 nights in Sep. Overall, we enjoyed staying this beautiful 2 beds & 2 Bath rooms condo. I was skeptical about this place until I opened the entrance door because pictures I saw online were too good to be true. However, this condo was exactly same as pictures. The L shape Balcony was the best of best. There are plenty of spaces for two breakfast tables with four chairs, two sundeck chairs with sofa. We spent all day at balcony, just listening sounds of ocean with nice cold drinks. It was THE vacation. Kitchen was outdated but good size and functioning. I found water leak in the fridge but it was not major. so we just avoided the spot that water was leaking. There are two single beds in the small bedroom and queen size bed in the master bedroom. Although single beds were bit small for adults but all beds were very comfortable. Major issue was draining at both bathrooms. Especially, the shower room in the master bedroom was really bad. I needed to shut water off often to wait to drain while taking shower. This condo does not provide much provision. I was optimistic about it although instruction indicated they provide " only starter kit" because our stay was only 5 nights. But I was very wrong about it, There were only two dishwasher detergents and three rolls of toilet papers. It would have been nice if they stock little bit more. Over all, we had wonderful time and we would love to come back soon."

  • Great Location. Attentive owners

"We spent 8 nights here. It's a very easy and safe walk to "downtown" Kona. Numerous restaurants within a 10 minute walk. We had originally booked at the Courtyard Marriott and got a good rate there. While it's nice to be beachfront at the Marriott it was an easy 10 minute walk there and there are public bathrooms. The condo unit has three bathrooms and plenty of space with a washer and dryer. The pool and BBQ area are nice as well. Air conditioning units kept place cool with no problem. Had one minor which we contacted the owner about and they remedied immediately. Point of comment is not to point out the problem but that owners wet instantly responsive which was great. We would stay there again."

  • Beautiful and Relaxing Paradise Home

"This home is wonderful, particularly for families with small kids who don't want to stay in a condo or resort. We traveled with three kids (5, 3, 18months) and I loved the idea of an orchard and a swimming pool to keep them occupied if we were working around nap times or meltdowns. Our kids LOVED playing (though closed toed shoes are a must for the orchard) and exploring. The setting was picturesque and private even though it is a residential neighborhood. Debbie was also so thoughtful to provide a pack n play when I mentioned I might need one. Beach towels, snorkeling gear, and sun hats are also available for your use so don't bring from home. In addition to the lovely setting, the rooms were spacious and clean. There was plenty of garage storage for our stroller and suitcases and preparing meals at home rather than eating out was very nice. It felt like home, which if you travel with kids, is a big bonus. This home is located on the "beach side" of the Island so if you want volcanos and waterfalls it is a bit of a drive, but it is close to Kona and all the shopping you could desire. Its proximity to the airport and the Costco were a big plus as we had rental car issues that required us to KEEP going down to the rental places near the airport, but it wasn't a distance. Debbie was great to work with. She replied to all questions I had very promptly and the people she had caring for the house (gardner/pool maintenance/trash guy) were all very affable and accommodating. The gardner even took my mother in law and husband on an hour long tour of the orchard describing the fruits and plants AND brought lovely fresh flowers. It was paradise and if I am lucky enough to go to the Big Island again, I would DEFINITELY stay at this home a second time... maybe without the kids! ;)"

  • Amazing location steps from best snorkeling beach, surf lessons with beautiful view of the ocean.

"We had a wonderful stay on the 2nd level of this 3 level home. It is beautifully situated, just steps away from the best snorkeling beach on the island with a surf shop just down the road. The home was clean, comfortable and well equipped. We loved the open design of the kitchen to the living room with 2 separate patio door access to the Lanai for viewing the ocean and beautiful sunsets. For a large group there was enough room for hanging out without being in each other's space too much . We also appreciated it's location for being far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Kona to really be able to unwind and relax. Grocery stores and amenities were close by making it convenient to get supplies and food as needed. The owner, Steve was one of the best parts of renting this accommodation. We really felt welcome and enjoyed chatting when we occasionally ran into each other. Thank you again for sharing your wonderful home!"
